“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teachings and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer… Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” Acts 2:42-47

When two or more are gathered in His name should tell anyone volumes, because it is about His presence and His will. ODB and it’s ministers are dedicated to gathering the body globally so we can work together to accomplish His will in love. We invite all of His people to gather and work as one body in love so His will can be accomplish and we are committed to helping facilitate that in any way we can so His love can be shown to all globally. Our commitment is to work with anyone in the body to first reach the body and through each member of the body reach all those in the world.

We are dedicated to "Knowing God and His Way’s", "Loving People" and "Reaching the World," in His way. Our Goal and objective in bringing the body together globally is to help facilitate and equip the body to reach out to all with God’s love and provision to all through the body. ODB is concerned with the "whole person," each minister and ministry has been geared to offer believers an experience that is three dimensional:

"Knowing God and His Way’s in walking together (Amos 3:3)." This demonstrates concern for the spiritual growth and well-being of each person God sends us both believers and non-believers. We care that all receive God’s love first hand so we can demonstrate His love through each person that has received His love. We have found in order to walk together in love and unity it needs to be done in agreement and that can only be achieved by His Spirit as we all walk in His ways. It is foundational and cornerstone to His ministry. We desire that each person He sends us have a closer relationship with Him and each in the body so His will can be done on earth as it is in heaven for their to be peace on earth and good will to all men. This comes as a result of people being loved and cared for, careful discipleship, training and to practice His ways in His Covenants. It is what makes any of us disciples, to follow Him and His ways. We (all involved with ODB) are actively concerned with each one's relationship to God, which is the first step in achieving the next two aspects of our commitment to whole missions.

"Loving People" It should be obvious that if we have not experienced His love then it is difficult to share that love with others, perhaps it is why so many ministries and churches focus is mainly on teaching and preaching? If we have received love in His forgiveness, then we will all love much and forgive much and there is likely to be more praying and seeking His presence instead of just teaching and preaching. Scripture tells us that “they will know that you are Mine, by your love one for the other,” and we have seen that either that love is there or it is not. Love is an important part of life in Christ. Simply put if you do not experience His love through us, then you will not be sure about any of this. Simply put if you do not experience His love and ways through us then it is likely you will not be able to share that with others. We receive God’s blessing and love, because we give it. Once you receive His love through us it is our prayer and desire that you reach out to others. In that love comes adoption one for the other. If we are of Him then we are one with Him and each other. As you come to see this work in your life it is equally important that teams are formed and reach out, encourage and partner with believers in other churches.

"Reaching the World." Scripture tells us that Satan is the god of this world. How that is stopped is not through rules or laws, or even the power of God, because the enemy also has power. How it is accomplished is through love, from God and to each other. Love breaks down all strongholds. Love releases the power of the Holy Spirit if we care for all in body, soul and spirit. It is not just a commitment of evangelism, but a commitment to putting an end to the work of the enemy, which can only be done in love and unity of the body in His ways. It is a commitment to reach out in love and demonstrate the truth about His ways through love in evangelism but also through discipleship of new believers. This is accomplished through building relationships with God and each other, prayer preaching, tract distribution, surveys, door-to-door in the words of our testimonies.

These three areas touch virtually all aspects of life and ministry. Together, they help to insure not only a successful mission, but a significant life change in each person reached.

We believe that the Lord of the harvest continues to raise laborers for the task of carrying the gospel to unreached peoples globally. To reach all globally, it will take the body to work as one body globally and we all have been called to do do something in the body. If you are burdened in this way you may partner with ODB as an individual by going through one of the links provided above or see Church Planting and ODB Help Desk for assistance.

Individuals desiring involvement in the effort for unreached peoples are not deterred. Following are just some of the avenues through which individuals can pursue the leading of the Lord for a commitment to missions and unreached peoples.

Prayer Support

We at ODB, recognize the need and the power of prayer. Although it’s hard to understand all the reasons why, God chooses to work through the prayers of His children. We can do all things through Christ if we see Christ as Jesus being head and we are the body. It is a joint effort that is needed, not only with the head but with each other in prayer as individuals and in corporate prayer.

God is sending many people globally to ODB and is faced with more ministry opportunities than ever before. These opportunities are as exciting as they are often challenging and can be for the most part overwhelming, if the prayer support is not there.

It is not just about praying for things, but praying that His will be done in all things and that He is the one guiding and directing and not man. Success relies on the power of God and for man to sometimes get out of the way. We are co-workers but all need to be led by His Spirit so His will can be done, moving forward in His Spirit and not just ideas of the flesh. God releases His power when people pray as long as we are in unity. We are in unity if we have the same agenda and are walking together. For the body of Christ, to be victorious, we all need to work together as one body in love, unity and prayer. It takes a lot of dedicated believers, seeking His presence and His will, fighting battles in prayer. Your Prayers are the solution to that need.

Here are a few specific areas you can pray for:

Always pray that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Pray for the body to come together and work in love and unity, because His will is done through each of us that are truly seeking His presence.
Pray that God raises up and brings forward leaders in the body that will stand in love and in His ways representing His will and ways to all. Pray that the fire stays with these people called to serve and would not become complacent, continuing to be passionate in their relationship with the Lord and each other. Also know that as you pray for them, they will also be praying for you by name. It is all a two way street.
Pray for teams planning to serve. Pray that God would confirm their calling, the logistics and support discovery for those teams.
Pray that we are able to reach all globally with His love.

Selecting a People for Prayer

Many individuals have chosen to make a commitment to pray for an unreached people until there is a reproducing church established among them. For assistance with choosing a people, see Selecting a People(GMI). Missionaries and outreaches are grateful for the support of those who are dedicated to prayerfully opening the hearts of the peoples and the doors to ministry. For resources see Prayer Resources.

Short Term Trip

Visiting an unreached people for a few weeks to a couple of years may be an option for some individuals. Some groups or churches often sponsor and or lead short term teams to or in the vicinity of unreached peoples. Sometimes these people gather just to pray for a given area and collect information for future use. The same thing can be done and should be done in every city in America. Churches all should be praying for the unreached in a given local area and seek information and God’s guidance in how to reach people. If we can do it locally we will have a better chance of doing it in other parts of the globe. God starts us often with little things and if we can be faithful to the little things He will use us for greater things. Often times we think in terms of reaching out to countries when we all should be taking a ten minute drive to reach out to people. ODB will work with all believers called to the mission field, across the globe and across the street. Often times it comes down to seeking His will and plan for our lives, not only as individuals but as a church or group. What is God’s will? What does He want us to do? If we do not know there is something wrong. We all are supposed to know His plan and more importantly walking in it. See: Ministry Plan

Volunteer in your Church, ODB and other Missions Organizations

Our purpose is always to support the work of the local church. We encourage all to work with their local church for guidance each step of the way. It is for your benefit and so there is unity in the body. If you are led to volunteer in ODB, please know that we will be working with your local church so we both can walk with you in your calling and purpose. This is not meant to discourage, but encourage you and for your personal growth in how the body is to work together. We work with your local church so you can be edified and so you can return to your local church to share with them the things you have learned and experienced. This can be done if you local church supports your decision to become involved in missions. There are many ways that believers can help. Going to the mission’s field is just one way. Prayer and getting the news out to others is another way, while some do some fund-raising for certain projects or mission fields.

The point of it all, is to bring love and unity to the body with everyone working together to accomplish the same goals. It is not just about missions, but brining the body together in love and unity so more can be accomplished. Contact the ODB Help Desk to see how you might assist efforts toward unreached peoples. We appreciate volunteers that desire to work at home or in the local church to pray, assist with mailings, both with regular mail and email, data entry, etc. We all have a part to do and if we all do our part the work can get done. Estimate how much time per week you can give: one hour, two, eight hours, etc. There are many positions available from research to mailing, data entry and fund raising. All is important. What is more important is that you do seek God and are led by His Spirit. It is for growth for you and if you know it is what you are supposed to do, you will be more dedicated. Purpose: To seek His will for the body globally. To engage our congregations actively in the work of the body globally. To build and edify each member of the body so we can all stand as one body together in the battle to accomplish what we have been called to do. To work together as one body to destroy to work of the enemy, locally and globally. We all need to understand that the enemy is working to destroy the church. Our choice is to either work together to stand against the enemy or choose to stay separate. There is power in standing together and division in standing separately. If we work separately we work outside of the body, but through Christ both Jesus as the head and we are the body, can do all things.

Churches Can Work Together if we are in Agreement: Amos 3:3 tells us that we can only walk together if we are in agreement and can only walk together if by the same Spirit. If we cannot walk together it is because of a familiar spirit that seeks to separate the body so it can weaken the body and destroy it. There is strength in unity if we are willing to submit to His will, stand in His ways and work together, pray for each other and exhort one another. ODB has a way for churches to work together to accomplish His will globally in being a member of one of the associations: Association of Pastoral Counselors, Association of Accredited Bible Schools, Alliance of Accredited Ministers and Churches, & Association of Christian Chaplains or by chartering with ODB or by chapter congregations where congregations have a vehicle in which to work with.

Pastor Share – ODB is working to set up a network of some 10,000 pastors for mobilization and mentorship to lead their congregations to work together as one body, and to work with newly established congregations, to seek God and His will in prayer. Praying for one another and walking with each other so His will can be done on earth as it is in heaven. The truth is that we as pastors lead by example and if we can't get along in the body then it is difficult to expect our congregations to get along to accomplish His will. It is a challenge, but the hard truth is if we cannot get along then we are the problem. We all know that we are to work as one body and we have to be the example if we are to really be in His will. It is a call to His royal priesthood to work together as one body globally to accomplish His will in love and unity.

We all have needs and obstacles to overcome, but if we are bound to Him and one another it all can be accomplished in working together and praying for each other. It is His way and we know it and either we are willing to do it or not. It is our choice, but we will be held responsible for either bringing the body together in His will or creating the separatism and division that has always existed. All of us and each of us either seek to do His will or our own will. We either work together or sooner or later God will move those out of the way that will not work as one body. By His love and grace we all have the ability and experience from different perspectives and understanding that we each can and should bring to the table to save others effort and time. ODB has the vision of seeing International Pastors effectively trained, mentored and equipped to be more effective ministers of the Gospel over the next 5 years. This vision requires, having His heart, our willingness to work together and the resources dedicated to recruiting and training pastors to participate, which challenges churches and their leaders to share their pastor at least one week a year with emerging leaders around the world. Pastors will deploy all over the globe to share some of their experiences good and bad, so others can tap into what we have learned.

Purpose: It is a call of God for His royal priesthood to gather and work as one body globally to accomplish His will. To leave no stone unturned and all believers are stones, but each will make a choice to either work together in accomplishing His will or stand separate. ODB is charged to reaching all people globally and the only way that can happen is with God's help and approval and by the body having the heart to work together as one body to accomplish His will. It is a test for the body, but also to strengthen the body and build each member so we can stand together and lock arms together in the day of the battle.

Although ODB does support ministries, churches & missions, ODB works to support the efforts of the church and not work against the church. ODB is a communications tool that can be used to bring the body together. It is about building a better relationship with God and those in the body, learning to be led by His Spirit, overcomming by the blood of the Lamb and the words of our testimony and enduring till the end. It is not a free handout but a way for the body to work together globally to accomplish His will in His ways, covenants, in His blessing. It is about supporting each other and that comes with walking with each other and praying for each other, building a relationship with others in the body so all can be reached and cared for in His will.

It is the body that has no agenda except to seek His presence and His will for each that God sends us. All are invited to become apart of His global outreach and work as one body to accomplish His will. Should you decide to become a part of ODB you will playing and active part to reaching out to other believers where ever you are and to reaching out to the rest of the body to encourage all to work together as one body. It is about supporting one another, walking with one another and praying for one another for what we do to each other and for each other we do to Him, but what we do for Him and each other He gives back. We encourage and invite all to work together so His will can be accomplished.

We are responsible…..

When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, We want our hand always to be there. For that we are responsible.

We are responsible both to God and each other.

"Together we can make a change, we can make a difference!"

"God gave us His Son, Spirit, Love, Direction, Purpose, Gifts, and free will. He gave us all the basic tools to either care for Him and others or care just for ourselves.

It is a choice either way, to either learn to work together to solve problems, but at the end, when it is all said and done, our true hearts will be exposed. We are given two things to do, love God and love our neighbor as ourselves.
