Who Can & Should Adopt Others?

Do things God’s way we receive His blessing!

Adoption is for everyone in the body. Adoption is about a commitment to God and each other to walk with God and each other in love and unity. There is power in walking with each other in agreement, Amos 3:3. When we walk together in agreement and touch anything it will be done. It is about accepting each other in love as brothers and sisters as family. We as His people are called to embrace all with His love. We are to demonstrate His will and His ways and covenants to all, both believers and unbelievers. We are to work as one body in love and unity and we can by using modern technology if we have the heart to do so. To have the heart to do so takes us, each of us surrendering to Him and His will in love. It is coming to an understanding that we have been forgiven much so we should love much. In that love all can be accomplished.

Why Adopt?

Adopt because you and your church will be blessed: "The Lord had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you.  I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.  I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you." (Gen. 12:1-3) Adoption is a way to participate.

Adoption into God's family is biblical: Adoption is effective because it is patterned after God, who is calling and adopting sons and daughters from every tribe, tongue and nation, "He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will" (Ephesians 1:5).  When we adopt a people, we are His agents or ambassadors.

Adoption is an effective way to reach the body in love for each other and those in the world: Adoption is effective because it makes sure that every people has a group of Christians praying for and reaching out to each other in the body and to those in the world. We all need prayer even to stand in battle, let alone have a hope of winning the battle. We are all very dependent on each other.  We are to adopt each other in the body so the body will witness His love through each other, but also so the body can be edified and equipped so the body can work together so we can reach out to the lost and hurting.

When we adopt each other we work to strengthen the body and each member of the body so the each member of the body can grow to be strong enough to reach out to people not in the body. Adopting is a "doable" piece of the Great Commission, where each church, large or small, can play a part. Should we learn to love each other we will not have to do so much preaching or teaching, because of love non-believers will be breaking the doors down in the church just to get in on the love if we love each one another as He has loved us. On the other hand it is also true if we do not love each other then, who will want to be a part of that?

Once we love each other in the body, as ourselves then we can demonstrate His love to those not in the body. The first job is for the body to become strong and for it to be healed and that can only be done by the power of God in forgiveness and for each of us in the body to forgive each other and love each other. It cannot now, nor will it ever be accomplished by teaching and preaching, it needs to be by love. One cannot learn how to love unless they have witnessed love and acceptance, then they can reach others with the love and acceptance they have received. IF we the body cannot love and adopt each other in the body, it is almost impossible to love and adopt those not in the body.

Within many countries there are peoples who have no witness in their language or culture. Simply put they have no witness to His love in the body, let alone for others. Through adoption, prayer and working as one body, the goal of a church for every people becomes achievable. God has already hidden each people in His heart and seeks to adopt them into His family. In people adoption, we act as His agents (Ambassadors) to welcome our brothers and sisters home, into a better relationship which God, in Christ, and begin to reach out as one body to reach those that do not know Him. With churches focusing on different unreached peoples through adoption, all people may receive access to the gospel.  The adoption strategy provides the vehicle for Christian groups to become deeply involved in finishing the task in working as one body and reaching all so that they may see His love, provision through the body and His truth in His covenants.

We are responsible…..

When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, We want our hand always to be there. For that  we are responsible.

We are responsible both to God and each other.

"Together we can make a change, we can make a difference!"

"God gave us His Son, Spirit, Love, Direction, Purpose, Gifts, and free will. He gave us all the basic tools to either care for Him and others or care just for ourselves.

It is a choice either way, to either learn to work together to solve problems, but at the end, when it is all said and done, our true hearts will be exposed. We are given two things to do, love God and love our neighbor as ourselves.
