Believers Working Together, Helping Those in Need

Advocacy in simple terms to start with is, seeking Jesus and the will of the Father for people and doing for people what and how He wants things accomplished. Advocacy is also about feeding people, in their physical bodies, souls and spirits, taking care of peoples needs, while they are being taught how to fish, God's way. God's way, is His Covenants in His Covenant provision and blessing and people walking in His Covenants. Jesus paid the price so we could enter Covenant relationship with God, but also comes from us in desiring to walk in the will of the Father in His, will, statutes, ordinances and commandments. Once people have learned how to fish they feed themselves and can reach out to help others.

Doing it this way, He brings increase and blessing. For us it is bearing good fruit so others can eat of that fruit and become what God has called each to be. It is doing what Jesus did being resolved to do the will of the Father, which in part is to destroy the work of the enemy. Jesus took on twelve individuals. He fed and cared for them while they were learning. That in part was the ministry of Jesus and it is our desire to carry out His ministry. Our Daily Bread, Missions is about seeking God for His provision, His way, giving us and others Our Daily Bread, feeding and caring for them while they learn to care for themselves and others.

As God's people, each of us are to represent His will and love for all and not just those that agree with us. This is done in two ways, Spiritually by the hand of God, but equally important is through His people. We welcome your help in helping develop an effective response system to issues and needs which impact the people of our communities, no matter where the community is located. We are in a battle and the battle can be won, but we have to be resolved to doing things God's way and then working together to accomplish His will.

We appreciate the volunteers and ministers who are already active in those issues to which they have been called. We join in providing a presence in helping develop long term solutions in individual communities, and much needed hope for the nations. Simply put, "Do things God's way and we all get God's results." The more Christians of all faiths that get involved in the needs of the community and respond to the need, the more presence Christ has and the more solutions. Problems of the community, become solutions as Christ works in individual lives (‘We can do all things through Christ,"  however we need to understand that Jesus is the head and we are the body). Everyone wins, individuals, Christ, the church and communities.

Help us through prayer and involvement, help others, help themselves. Working together as one body we can accomplish much, with the power of God turning problems into opportunities and solutions. We are, all of us in this together. The facts are that if every household reading this would give only $82 per year or $6.83 per month we could together wipe out the needless starvation and hunger. Why should we? If nothing else, self preservation. Scripture tells us that when we forgive, we are forgiven. If we give grace and understanding we will also receive the same. What ever we do the least of these, we do unto Him. Many of us are blessed and have been blessed, not just for ourselves, but so we can help others. It is the reason we have been blessed. Make a commitment today. In doing so you will be blessed. You have His Word on it. We need your help to fulfill the great commission with His love, caring for people in demonstrating His love for people.

Working Together to Solve Problems, Locally and Globally

We are all called to pray, but beyond that, faith without works is dead, and we also need an active and effective way to reach out to those in need. Once those in need are identified in local communities, determine what exactly the needs are, network together and help them as individuals and families, overcome the obstacles they have in their lives.

Long Term Solution:

The only long term solution is for God and for people to be focused on God and understand His ways, will, statutes, ordinances so all can receive His Covenant provision. Each must understand that there is a responsibility in the body of Christ and each must know their individual calling and purpose and walk in that purpose to receive long term help from God. This takes a persons commitment, God's anointing and some training to do what they are called to do. God is a Covenant God and if we are His people we fall into the blessing or curses.

Short Term Solution:

Some people need short term solutions, but just working at short term solutions is just the beginning. Just working at short term solution is an addictive behavior, as it focuses only on the short term help or gratification. People need help in emergencies. Clearly, the body needs to walk with people after the short term need is dealt with so each can grow in Him to maturity or perfection, which is the long term solution. This includes helping those in need with the short term solutions, but also helping them into a local church community for further help, counseling, growth, and stability.

Counting the Cost

The cost, if His people do nothing we can fall into the hands of the enemy, because we judge in error by doing nothing. In other words we judge people by not helping resolve long term and the short term problems. The Body of Christ, has been given all power and authority in heaven and earth, but with that power we also become responsible for what happens on earth to God and those in need. His people are called to serve and to help people in need and to represent the will and hand of God. We are to lead all to Him and His Truth so long term and short term problems can be dealt with.

Another cost in not dealing with problems God's way, is what may happen to us in the future. When we help others we are investing in people and building a future. It is in part for our security and well being to help people in the long and short term needs and problems. In doing the Word, we become like Him and become solutions in the communities in which we live. In becoming involved we are blessed by God, provide for our future and our children's future, which will reduce crime, taxes and costs because when governments help they only help on the short term, which does not deal with root problems and short term problems will continue if the root is not dealt with.

The second cost is time. Time to pray, time to help those in need and to help financially support those that understand long term and short term problems and solutions. The Body of Christ in working together globally can deal with the problems if our heart is right with God.

Our Daily Bread, Missions is dedicated to working with individuals, churches, and local organizations, to resolve the needs of local problems, by working with those in need, encouraging others to participate, and eventually, working to establish local chapters, helping network, information and resources. Our Daily Bread, Missions will not work against the church but is here to support the work of the church and prayerfully working to bring unity to the body.

Our Daily Bread, Missions encourages church involvement and advocacy in the following areas: Discipleship, Prayer, Communications, Education, Missions, Homelessness, Eldercare, Children at Risk, Prison Outreach, Health Care, Crime, the Economy and reducing taxes, and Helping to provide solutions for housing.

Needs and Local Resources

The purpose of Our Daily Bread, is two-fold; first, it is promoting Christ, Jesus as the head and promoting the work of the body of Christ and the work of Christ, to encourage individuals, organizations, churches, and agencies to work together to solve the needs of people on a local and global basis.

We look forward to working with you.
