Who
we are.......
We
are ODB's Ambassadors for Christ!
We have a story to tell to the nations that
will turn their hearts to Him. It is a story
of truth and love for those that desire a
better relationship with Him and those in
need. We are a youth program designed to train and
walk with our children, to encourage and
exhort them to go in the direction that God
has called them to. Each person
is unique
and we have all been called to do something
in the body. Ambassadors for Christ, our
youth in Him working with the body can make a difference.
As
a group, work with local churches in helping
them develop a strong youth outreach that
will have a positive effect on the local
community. We are not by design to take the
place of existing youth programs or clubs,
but rather work on projects that will help
the church reach those in need in the local
community, encouraging church outreach and
helping church growth. We are very much
like a club within a club as such we can
work well with other clubs, the church and
the community. It is all about Matthew
25:31-46 and making a difference where we
are at.
About
Us
We're
a discipling and mentorship ministry
dedicated to raising up the next generation
of Christian leaders that will have to face
many challenges in local communities and the
world.
Ambassadors for Christ envisions a world
where mature Christian leaders transform
society for Christ, as Christ is our only
hope. Our definition of Christ is Jesus
being the head and we are the body. We as
the body are the light of the world and the
salt of the earth and have come to
understand that if the job is going to get
done, it is up to us, through Him.
Our
Children have an important role to play in
the future and they can only do so when they
have been prepared to do the job. The job:
To be His Ambassadors, representing His
love, grace and mercy and to represent the
very kingdom of God.
Why
Ambassadors for Christ?
Ambassadors for Christ: Can and does make a difference, as it is an
innovative educational program for middle and high school students. It
helps them understand the root causes of hunger and poverty and how
they and the body can and should take action. Ambassadors for Christ
educational and community service program has brought enlightenment
to thousands of children around the globe.
Here are just a few of the actions that Ambassadors for Christ students
are taking against hunger and homelessness in their communities:
Organizing church outreaches
Writing letters to U.S. Senators, churches and other organizations
promoting local hunger and homeless initiatives.
Writing and phoning editors of local news media to raise hunger
awareness and highlight their upcoming hungry advocacy activities.
Conducting food drives for local food pantries.
Launching and conducting their own classes on hunger and poverty in their schools and religious
education classes.
Increasing awareness of relatives, neighbors and friends about the causes and problems of
I
am responsible…..
When
anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, we
want our hand always to be there. For that
we are responsible.
We
are responsible: both
to God
and
each other.
