General Principles of Faith

General: God's Plan for People Globally  Top

We (ODB, and its ministers) are called to:

We are responsible…..

When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, we want our hand always to be there. For that we are responsible......

We are responsible both to God and each other.

The members of Our Daily Bread, staff, affiliates, missions, ministries, churches and Bible schools and Institute all agree, to live, preach and teach Christ crucified and we define Christ as Jesus being the head and we are the body. We believe that God's, (El Shaddai) plan for provision for all people on earth is the body. As a part of El Shaddai's plan we believe that Jesus came to give His life so there could be a body and He gave all for the body and if we are like Him we should all be willing to do the same. We believe Jesus ministry is the body, to edify and build the body so the body could deal with all needs and problems globally through Jesus. We also agree and affirm that the bread in the sacraments are the body and that we through surrendering our will to Him and His purpose are broken for others and each other so His will can be done.

We believe that Christ both head and body are sent to destroy the works of the devil and that we can do all things through Christ if we stand in love and unity as one body. We believe that all are equal in the body and no one is over the other, but the greatest is sent to serve. We also believe that to be in Him we not only accept the Father, Jesus and Christ head and body and that we as the body are all very connected to Him and each other. We believe that we have been called to represent His will and not man's will. We believe that we have been called to stand with Him and each other and work together to accomplish His and are called to deny no one and should we deny each other or the body we deny Him. We believe that what we do to each other we do to Him good or bad.

The Work of Our Daily Bread, Missions: Bring the Body Together Globally so the Body can care for all needs demonstrating His Love and Mercy Top

We believe that ODB is His ministry called by God to gather His priesthood to work as one body globally, to edify and build the body, the temple of the Holy Spirit, formed and fitted by Jesus as we surrender to Him and even broken, so the body can reach out to the needs of all locally and globally. We believe that we are called to leave no stone unturned globally, which is accomplished through the work of the local church.

We believe that Our Daily Bread is the name of His ministry and the body of Christ, is the temple of the Holy Spirit the and all that come to ODB should seek God's to confirm that ODB is His ministry to become involved. We believe that God cannot deny Himself and His ministry and He will confirm all things for those that seek Him in truth and Spirit.

We believe in the offices of the five fold gift ministry (apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers) as a part of God's plan and provision for the body to edify and build the body so the body can reach out to all in the community to care for the needs of all.

We believe and it is our mandate by God that we are to deny no one and that all that come to ODB will receive His blessing, but with that blessing is also a warning, because depending on the condition of the heart, people will either receive blessings or curses.

The Work of the Church Globally: To Reach all Globally with His Love and Care Top

All churches should be involved in dealing with local problems and needs, but as one body be connected to each other to share with each other so the work of the body can continue globally. God's plan and provision for all people on earth is body globally and not just locally. To meet that mandate Global Ministry Initiative, was created to deal with the needs of people locally and globally to work as one body seeking God for His will in His plan globally and each area of the globe leaving no stone unturned globally. His promise is that we can do all things through "Christ" if we understand Christ is defined as Jesus is the head and we can do nothing without Him and the body that has been broken so it would care about all locally and globally. When the body works in love and unity to care for the needs of all globally and if we are walking by faith in His will.

The facts are that if all people that called themselves Christians would give just $1 each per month we could end starvation globally. The only thing that allows some 10,000 per day to starve to death is because of beliefs.

The Work of the Church Locally: To Reach all in a Locality with His Love and Care Top

1) a. The church (body) to be in His will should reach out to all people in the community, to care for each one in the community as He has cared for us. An outreach is not a church, but should be a part of a church and work with the church to reach out to people locally and globally. A church should provide balance for a community being resolved to destroy the work of the devil.

b. To stabilize new believers with the milk of the Word. To help them understand who they are in Christ, their position in the body and their role and calling, provide training in that calling with a safe place for them to use that calling so they can learn to walk in their calling.

c. Send and support those called to the field, until they are established wherever they are sent, because the congregation (body) does the sending as God leads as Paul and Silas were sent.

2) Although there is an element of caring for people and their needs, it is the congregation (the body) that decides or judges who gets help.  Churches also need to understand that they will be held accountable to God for their decisions. The congregation pays the expenses for what is done, so they should also have input how funds are spent and who gets helped, seeking God for His will and representing His will to all people in the community they are called to serve.

3) The church should represent the will of God to the whole community and not just the members or a group or building. All believers in the community to be in His will need to work as one body. Believers should deny no one, for what we do to the least of these we do directly to Him. We should seek His will for all needs to be supplied, as we may not have all the answers.

4) The whole body is to move in unity, together seeking His will for all needs to be supplied. We believe that salvation is hearing His voice, knowing His will and doing His will, but His will will always bear the fruit of the Spirit. We believe that if we accept Christ we are accepting both head and body as the two cannot be separated and as such should love both equally. The body needs to move as one , forward, understanding and agreeing to all things because the Spirit of God does not bring confusion or disagreement. We believe that love and unity comes from surrendering our lives to Him, being broken. The more broken, the more we have surrendered, the more love and unity there will be not just in the body, but for all people.

5) The work of the body will always be in line with scripture and His will and the five fold gift ministry, apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers will be in line with each other and the body and not work independently of the body but to serve the body, not being above, but in a position of service to the body to edify. If the five fold gift ministry works in unity with each other, there will be growth. Without the five fold gift ministry working as one in love and unity, the church grows cold and apathy sets in for others and those in the body. The focus should always be on surrender, prayer, love and unity for all.

6) Ministries of the local church are to care for the needs of those in the community. To care for those that are hungry or need shelter or those that are sick or in prison. To reach out to all and treat all equally. What we do for the very least, we do to Him directly, good or bad.

What we Believe and Stand On:   Top

A) We believe that everyone needs to be able to hear His voice and be led by His Spirit so no one will be deceived and His Spirit will confirm all things of Him. Each member of the body needs to be led by His Spirit to be a son of God, each one knowing His voice. It is becoming doers of the Word, becoming the word. He may use others to teach believers or even lead them, but all things must be confirmed by His Spirit or it is not of God. In addition all things taught or spoken will also be in line with scripture, His written Word. No one in the body is over the other, but there to serve even the weakest member of the body.

B) We also believe that He gave us the raw tools to deal with all things and all needs, but it is in the walking with Him and each other we begin to understand how to use the tools that we as individuals and the body have been given. The Holy Spirit gave each person a portion of oil and by ourselves we can do little, but when the body works as one body and shares it's oil with each other, can light the world and care for the needs of all. In the body we carry the very power of God and are called to represent Him in all things. Through us as the salt of the earth and the light of the world others can see His love, grace, mercy, power and forgiveness or His wrath and judgment. Because of this we as the body are responsible for all outcomes and it is by turning to Him and seeking Him that all outcomes can be accomplished in His will.

C) We believe that His house is a house of prayer and if it is His house all are welcome and all are equal in His house. No one is greater than the other. We may have different callings and purposes, but no one is over the other. We believe that He will take care of His house and the people in His house. We choose to serve Him in His ministry, in His house. We believe He is calling His bride to work as one in Him, to pray and stand with Him globally as one body.

D) We believe the only hope for us and all here on earth is if we are willing to join together to seek Him, making His house a house of prayer as it was originally intended, for all things and in all ways in love and unity. We believe fully the only way things can get turned around is if we all seek Him so His Spirit will be poured out on all flesh. It is the only solution, nothing else will work and anything else is not from Him.

According to II Chronicles 7:14 we as one body are to seek God and His will, not just as individuals but as a whole body. Although each person has been given a portion of the Holy Spirit the power is behind the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit which is the body. In the OT the temple was built of stone and mortar but in the NT the temple is built of flesh and blood. Our flesh but His blood which bonds us together.

The Gospel: The Good News: Top

Our Covenant: In Noah's day all that entered the ark, which was representative of the covenant, the body, and today the temple were saved from the flood. God desires that each enter covenant with Him and walks with Him daily. We are a covenant people and what we lend ourselves to and what we enter covenant with, we represent Him and either loose His Spirit or bind His Spirit. Today the temple is not built out of wood or mortar and stone, but flesh and blood. Our flesh and His blood, which is what seals us and makes us one with Him, but also one with each other if we are truly of Him. As El Shaddai He provided us with a covenant, the ark, the temple, the body which has been given all power on earth and in heaven to deal with all problems, to put an end to the work of the enemy if we work as one body in love and unity. While today many come to the temple to receive help and they do it is those that enter and stay in the temple to become part of the structure of the temple that are saved from the fire that is about to come.

Jesus in His death burial and resurrection and our acceptance of Him as Lord we also accept Christ, both head, which is Jesus, but also the body. He paid a great price not just for the Father and He did not have to die because He sinned but He died so there could be a body to represent the will of the Father globally. Jesus did all things for the body and if we are like Him we should do the same, to do things for the body. We are grafted in as Jews, meaning "God's people" as such should build relationship with Him and each other to accomplish His will in all things. As a part of the Gospel or Good news Jesus through His sacrifice bought each of us entry and the ability to walk with God as Adam did in the garden of Eden. Adam like us makes a choice to either eat from the Tree of Life or the Tree of Knowledge. If we eat from the Tree of Life we seek Him and His presence and walk with Him daily, should we eat from the Tree of Knowledge we make or own choices and determine what is good and evil and eating from this tree always brings death.

As a part of His covenant and good news all those that accept "Christ" may receive His anointing, which in the Old Testament was reserved for only kings, prophets and priests, but with that anointing we become responsible for how we use that anointing and for what happens around us and all outcomes as we are leaders and have been given the ability to influence all in either the things of Him or the ways of the world. What we lend ourselves to increases as a part of His covenant, good or bad. It is important for each to hear from Him and understand His ways and do what each have been called to do as those called and chosen in the Old Testament. Those that did not do this in the Old Testament that received His anointing and justified why they did what they did lost everything. Although we live in grace we need to understand that what we do and what we represent is not the ways of the world but are to only represent His ways. It is salvation for us to do so and salvation for those that have an ear to hear in those that we reach out to.

What ODB is all about is joining together to seek His face as one in Him and that is not only where the power is but where the answers are also. Scripture tells us that we can do all things through Christ. We define Christ as Jesus is the head and we are the body. So by working as one in Him and each other provision is made. Jesus gave us a prayer which we commonly call the Lord's prayer and in it we are to pray His will be done but also to pray the He gives us this day our daily bread. Our Daily Bread is Jesus and His ministry to mankind.

God's plan is His plan for the body not just in local areas but for the whole body locally and globally. We each need to understand His plan for the body and for us as individuals, to know His will and our purpose and calling in the body, walking with Him and each other. It worked in Acts and it is working today doing His way: Global Ministry Initiative . Our commission is to leave no stone unturned globally and deny no one in need. The only way this can be done is through the body working as one in Him in love and unity.

Salvation:  Top

We believe that salvation is turning our lives over to God through Jesus and accepting Christ as Lord and Savior. We also believe when we accept Christ we are accepting Jesus the head of the body and we are the body. We believe the His body is broken so people may see Him in us, His people. We believe that all should know His voice and be led by His Spirit to be sons of God. We also believe that the more one surrenders to God the more love and unity there will be in the body caring for all. We believe that we are to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. We believe we are to die to self daily and learn how to be servants, not being over one another or better than others. We believe that we should have no will of our own, but only the will of the Father.

We believe that we are to learn to trust in the Lord with all of our hearts and lean not unto our own understanding. As we are servants then we must seek God for His will in our lives in all things we do. We believe we are to work as one body. We believe that each in the body has been called by God for His purpose and calling. We believe that if we love Him we will keep His words and commandments. We also believe that as He has adopted us, if we love Him then we will also adopt all of His people. We believe that we show our love for Him by caring about and doing something about the needs of all. We do believe that salvation is a gift from God and no one can earn it and no one deserves to be saved, but we are saved by grace through faith and faith comes by hearing and hearing comes from the Word, Jesus.

We believe that God has a plan for us as the body and us as individuals and that we all are responsible to know His plan, purpose and our calling. We believe that all that are called to teach are called to also be an example to all and that part of our responsibility to all is that for all to know His plan for the body and us as individuals and walk in His plan and purpose, to do His words and not just hear them. We believe that all are called to be ministers and His priests to represent His will and love to all people on earth. It is a condition of our hearts to do so daily to each that He sends us. We believe that this is accomplished when we die to ourselves daily and seek His will.

We believe that we have been called to walk as Jesus did...........

General Principles of Faith Top

1) We recognize that there is one true living God, Exodus 20:2-3 who exists as the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit and that He is worthy of all honor, praise and glory as the creator, sustainer, and the beginning and the end of all things, Rev. 4:11, 5:9-10, Is. 43:1,7,21.

2) We recognize as Jesus the Messiah, the Word who became Flesh and dwelt among us John 1:1,14. We believe that He came here to establish His kingdom and at the same time destroy the works of the devil and as we are of Him we His body work to do the same, I John 3:8, that He disarmed the rulers and the authorities and made a public display of them, Col. 2:15.

3) We believe that God has proven His love for us because when we were still sinners, Christ died for us, Rom. 5:8. We believe that he delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transformed us to His kingdom and in Him we have redemption as we live by faith. The forgiveness of sin, healing, deliverance, and safety, Col. 1:13-14.

4) We believe that we are now His children, 1 John 3:1-3 and that we are seated with Christ in the high places, Eph.2:6. We believe that we are saved by grace through faith, and that it is a gift of God, not the result of works on our part, Eph. 2:8.

5) We choose to be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might, Eph. 6:10. We put no confidence in the flesh, Phil.3:3, for the weapons of warfare are not of the flesh.

6) We believe that the truth will set us free, John 8:32 and that walking in the light is the only path of fellowship, I John 1:7. Therefore we stand against Satan's deception by taking every thought captive in obedience to Christ, II Cor. 10:5. We declare that the Bible is the authoritative standard, II Timothy 3:15-16, but that the Word also dwells in us. We choose to speak the truth in love, Eph. 4:15.

7) We choose to present our bodies as an instrument of righteousness, a living and holy sacrifice, and we renew our minds by the living Word of God that we may prove that the will of God is good, acceptable, and perfect, Romans 6:12,12:1-2. We put of the old self with its evil practices and put on the new self, Col. 3:9-10, and we declare ourselves to be a new creature in Christ, II Cor. 5:17.

8) We ask our Father to fill us with His Holy Spirit, Eph. 5:18, leading us into all truth, John 16:13, and empower our lives that we may live above sin and not carry out the desire of the flesh, Gal. 5:16.

9) We renounce all selfish goals and choose the ultimate goal of love, I Tim. 1:5. We choose to obey the two greatest commandments, to love God with all of our hearts, souls and minds, and to love our neighbors as ourselves, Matt. 22:37-39.

10) We believe that Jesus has all authority in Heaven and in Earth and Christ both head and body has the same authority as long as we move in love and unity with Him and each other, not doing our will but His will, Matt. 28:18 and that He is head over all rule and authority, Col. 2:10 and that we are to act in His authority and in His name and the name of His ministry. Until His return we are called to do the things that Jesus did for the purpose of establishing the Kingdom of God on earth while destroying the works of the devil, I John 3:8. We believe that we were given the keys to the Kingdom and that were given the power of heaven and earth through Christ and that we as believers in accountability are responsible for the outcomes of the earth.

That like Jesus we the body are sent to intercede for those in the world, but first we must turn from our wicked ways and our ways of doing things and be open to His Spirit, II Chron. 7:14. We believe that Satan and his demons are subject to us as Christ dwells in us as we are members of His body, Eph1:19-23. Therefore we obey the command to submit to God and resist the devil, and we command Satan in the Name of Jesus to leave our presence.

11) We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, I Cor. 12:8-10, 28 and the five fold gift ministry, Eph. 4:11-16, and that we are called to be ministers of reconciliation and Ambassadors for Christ (head and body), representing His kingdom and authority, as there is one body with many parts. That by working together in unity and love we could as the body destroy the works of the devil! If we did these things by faith, the world would be different, as God's 'will' would be done on earth as it in Heaven. We all have been called by God to do His work and we are responsible for that work and its outcome.

12) We believe that the only way for the body to come together in unity is through the five-fold gift ministry. It is their job to equip the saints for the ministry, for the perfecting of the body, that we do not get caught by the winds of doctrines being tossed to and fro and being deceived by man, Eph. 4:11-16.

13) We believe that Jesus was the perfect example and Christ head and body should also be an example for all doing only His will. We believe we are to follow Him and do as He did, to heal the sick, cast our demons, taking care of peoples physical and spiritual needs through the power and anointing of Jesus, glorifying the Father. Jesus died for us that we might have life, here and for eternity and if we are of Him we will die to self,  He suffered so we could overcome by His blood and the word of our testimony. We believe that the purpose that we live is to serve, God first and all others next. We believe that we have already been given every spiritual blessing, but we must receive them by faith, Eph. 1:3.

14) We believe if we are in Him:

We are responsible…..

When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, we want our hand always to be there. For that we are responsible.

We are responsible both to God and each other. We believe that Christianity is a about Advocacy!
