What is the ODB, Association of Accredited Bible Schools and Teachers

ODB, Association of Accredited Bible Schools and Teachers (AABST) working to establish charter groups across the globe designed to represent the needs of Christian teachers in either public schools in working with the Nation Education Association, or working with charter groups and teachers that work in Christian schools, or working with individuals that may teach their children at home or through a Christian church. The AABST has members who work at every level of education, from pre-school to university graduate programs and are looking for more members of believers that feel that God should be in all class rooms and the focus of education.

AABST also provides Accreditation for Bible Schools, Colleges and Institutes. AABST is a non-profit association of independent colleges and seminaries committed to academic excellence, intellectual freedom and ethical conduct. The following can be used by School or College for the initial member application. Procedure for AABST Membership and Accreditation.

AABST is currently developing affiliates in every state, and also looking to establish charter groups across the globe. We are dedicated to the promotion of Christian teaching and teachers as they have the responsibility of teaching our youth to deal with all of the problems of the world and according to scripture administer God’s grace, love, and justice. Our children are our future and Christian children needed to be trained to deal these important issues. The will be left to deal with starvation, homelessness, increases in crime and the costs associated with crime, and all of the other problems, if there is to be a future.

Mission: To fulfill the promise of a Christian democratic society, the AABST shall promote the cause of quality Christian education and advance the profession of Christian education; expand the rights and further the interest of Christian teachers; and advocate human, civil, and economic rights for all.

In pursuing its mission, the AABST has determined that it will focus the energy and resources toward the "restoration of public confidence in education."

Although there are many similarities between the NEA and the AABST the main difference is that we believe without God in education, there is no purpose to life and as history should have taught us that when God is taken out of the center of things, disaster ensues.

Who's eligible to become a member of the AABST?

Anyone (believer) who desires to help promote Christian education, whether it is in the public schools, Christian Schools, church school, or those that teach their children at home. Your membership and membership fees paid tell congress that God needs to be put back in the school, instead of taken out. Who are our members? Teachers, parents, clergy, Christian schools, and other believers that have come to understand that things will get worse if God is not allowed in the classroom.

Our code of ethics is a higher standard than most as scripture states that teachers will be judged to a higher standard. It is not just a matter of this is our public life and the other part of our lives belong to God, but putting things back to its natural order of all things focused around God. For Christians to teach anything else is condemnation to Christ and the body.

Who sets ODB, Association of Accredited Bible Schools and Teachers policy?

AABST members set Association policy. AABST members at the state and local level elect representatives, who, in turn, elect AABST officers, debate issues and set AABST policy. Between Annual Meetings, the Board of Directors and the ODB Missions Board are the top decision-making bodies.

If there is not a local chapter in existence, you are encouraged to begin one.

What does AABST do?

AABST is a volunteer-based organization that works with its members and churches in the promotion of His Word and Christian ethics and why they are import in the scheme of things. At the local level, AABST affiliates and chapters are active in a variety of activities as determined by the local members. These may range from raising funds for scholarship programs to conducting professional workshops on issues that affect Christian teachers, children, and the church.

At the state level, AABST affiliate activities are equally wide-ranging. AABST state affiliates, for instance, regularly lobby legislators. This is a grass roots effort to get God back into education and works to promote the need of Christian education.

At the national level, AABST watch and may lobby Congress and federal agencies on behalf of its members, teachers, parents, and schools. There are many laws today that are being passed that may effect not only Christian education of any type, but it seems that congress and the powers in other governments are working to take God out of any public place or remove God and His precepts from any public display.

At the international level, AABST is working to link Christians and Christian teachers around the world in an ongoing dialogue dedicated to making schools as effective as they can be.

As a member of the Association you are also doing something to help end Hunger, Starvation, and Homelessness in America and the world. We believe as educators that it is in part our responsibility to end the needless waste of life. We support ODB and Ministries Food Bank (Loaves & Fishes) in its efforts to end the needless suffering.

"Evil can only prosper when good men choose to do nothing."

"Perhaps that is why things are happening today the way the are?"

Either way it is a lesson to be learned!

We are responsible…..

When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, we want our hand always to be there. For that I am responsible.

We are responsible both to God and each other.
