When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, I
want our hand always to be there. For that I am responsible.We are responsible both to God
and each other.
We
are about feeding, clothing, providing shelter, and finding solutions for those
in need (Matthew 25:31-46). It is a big responsibility and we ask for your help
in an effort to reach everyone in need. Please review Feeding
the Hungry (Loaves & Fishes). It is a big
responsibility, but with your help we can make a difference, we can bring
change. Did you know that it is possible to end
hunger and starvation? It is possible to end the needless waste in and suffering
of people if everyone that read this would make the commitment to get involved.
Although there are many problems that seem to be difficult to deal with in the
world and in society, hunger and starvation is a problem that can be dealt with
if we make the commitment to do so.
There are three key ways in which you and other people in the United States can help reduce hunger and poverty: The first is accept the problem as our own (no one can fix anything if we do not accept responsibility for what is happening or not). The second key to the solution is understanding-- this implies learning and having the wisdom to know what are the problems, which are in two parts. The first is people need to be fed while we work on resolving ways to get the problems resolved on a long- term basis. There is enough food, but there is not a good method to get the food to those in need. To get some planning done it takes a plan and governments and organizations willing to deal with the problems to work together, which is the biggest of all problems. Today we still deal with hunger and starvation as a temporary situation and as a result no long-term plans exits to deal with the problems-- and action. Action can take three key forms: influencing public policy, contributing financially, and working directly with poor people.

public policy to support poor people:
As a contributing member of Our Daily Bread, Ministries Food Bank you are
sending a clear message to congress and other governments that we as
Christians are willing to stand together to resolve the problems hunger,
starvation, and homelessness in unity. The church and governments play a key
role in allocating resources and adopting policies that influence the lives of
poor and hungry people. When we use our citizenship of heaven and our
authority given to us by God, we as believers stand in faith to influence the
nations voice including changing government policies. We encourage you to join
one (or more) U.S. anti-hunger advocacy/public policy organizations or other
organizations that deal with key issues affecting poor people.
Contribute financially to reducing hunger and
poverty:If any of this makes any sense to you, we welcome your prayer and support. Help us, help others, help themselves. You will be helping those in need and it will make you feel good also. You bless others and God blesses you. Yes it is a plea for money to help others, but you can be blesses and He will bring you increase because of your gift (Psalm 68:18-19). In order to receive we all need to step out in faith. Can we count on you for $6.84 per month or a one tie gift of $20? Anything and everything helps. You are not required to send money to receive the information on CD-ROM, because every time we give we receive and this ministry has been built on faith. If all Christians who read this got involved in some level of involvement in faith, the world would be different. We want to see God's kingdom here and now. That is what we are working for and that is the only way things are going to get turned around.
