ration of chaplains and services to inmate population is unconscionably
inadequate to respond to the pastoral care needs. In the state's largest prison,
there is one chaplain for 1750 inmates. The responsibility to change this
situation will rest, in large part, with our faith communities. In areas where
the church is involved in prison chaplaincy and other support, recidivism rates
are significantly lower than in areas without such pastoral care.

Most youth pastors will come into their
new positions in international churches with the basics of youth ministry tucked
safely away under their belts, with all the skills, training and experience
needed to do youth ministry effectively and successfully in their home culture.
The international community is not their home culture; neither is the local city
and country, nor is the church or the school. It can be a huge mistake, and
sometimes is a ministry-destroying mistake, to assume that youth ministry in the
US, the UK, or Australia (among others) is done the same way as youth ministry
in the international church and school context. Youth Pastor: : Specialized

Almost
two-thirds of the world's population has never heard the Gospel message.
-Over a thousand people groups have never been penetrated for the Lord Jesus
Christ.
-Many tribes have never received their first missionary.
-There are approximately 1,700 languages without the written Word of God.
-The world's population will double in less than 50 years.
When we think of statistics like these in terms of fulfilling the Great
Commission of Jesus Christ to take the Gospel of the Kingdom of God to every
creature, we realize we are faced with a great task. This course is written to
mobilize and equip believers to fulfill this great challenge. It is a tremendous
task, but it is not impossible. Most courses on evangelism focus only on the
command to "go" into all the world with the Gospel. They emphasize
preaching and teaching the Gospel message. This course differs because it also
focuses on what Jesus said to do "as you go" and the New Testament
Church pattern of what to do "while you are there." Description

Today in the realm of spiritual warfare there is a great movement
against the true apostle and the prophet as Satan knows that they are the feet
of the body and working in unity they will move the body in the direction that
Jesus wants the body to go. Because of this confusion there are today more
than 2,000 Christian denominations when really there is only one body. The
church for the most part has dismissed in error the offices of the apostle and
prophet. Today there is a belief that we should not trust each other but
only trust God and while in part that may sound correct as we are to look to Him
for all things, that belief also inhibits the very work of the Holy Spirit to
work through others. We seem to like messages that we agree with, but
that
is not always what is best for us. It is like letting a small child loose in an
ice cream store. The reason we were given the apostle and the prophet is
that they, when working in unity bring balance to the body and protection for
the body against separatism which works to destroy the body today. What
happens is that when we do not seem to agree, we have a tendency to start
another church or denomination taking others who will listen along. This
creates division and weakness in the body and the body cannot stand if it is
divided. Our strength in spiritual warfare is in unity and love. Description

Author Preparation: How to Write, Publish & Market Your Manuscript or Book Study Course. Top 5 credits: Cost ($58 US) On-Line Enrollment Form Basic study designed to give the foundation of how to write and get your work published. (In addition to the basic study you may also want to enroll in one of the categories listed below for Christian authors. These additional studies can be taken at the same time as the basic course). This study has been written both for those that have written a book and those that have not. The study offers step by step instruction, whether you decide to self publish, go through an agent or broker or through a publishing house this book offers guidance and inspiration from an author that has been through it all. Have you always wanted to write a book, but didn’t know what to write about or how to start? Have you dreamed of being an author, of publishing your own work and earning money from it? If you have direct experience in anything (ministry, testimony, job, hobby, skill, travel, etc.), you can write a book. Stop reading for a moment and think of those experiences about which you could write.
List three of those experiences:
1.
2.
3.
You have just documented three possible subjects about which you could write a book. Before reading this, you had no ideas; now you have three. Are you interested? If so, continue reading. Starting is the most difficult part of writing. Many people become discouraged because they don’t know how to begin. Learn the basics and succeed while others fail. This study helps you start by explaining the simple steps to creating a productive writing environment— one that lets you be an author and work your daily job. This book reveals the secret that no other does—how to start, the first step. Knowing this alone makes it a valuable possession, but there is more.
***Additional Categories for Author Studies: (Each category listed below has many of the same basic studies. These are by design a writing intensive course. Each category will help you prepare you to produce a manuscript designed for each individual age group or category. Cost: Each category $39 US On-Line Enrollment Form
*Christian Children's Literature, Ages 2-8: There is a great need for Christian Books designed for the developmental years for young people. Often times life's directions for people are chosen by the time they are twelve. The question is whether we go in the direction of the world or we work to edify the body. Children especially need a strong foundation for life's challenges and their foundation needs to be the Word of God but also needs to be understandable to age and grade level. It is at this age that children need biblical concepts and principles that form the foundation for the rest of their lives. All people not just believers make decisions their whole life based on the information that they have received from these years. We all have influences. They are all around us! TV, public school and of course church, but what percentage of their early lives are influenced by the things of God verses the things of the world. "what we dwell on, e become!"
*Christian Children's Literature, Ages 9-12: The next step of development are the ages from 9-12. Already many patterns in life have already been established one way or the other. Even though good and godly patterns may have been established at the earlier years this next period of time is crucial for young Christians as they begin to set patterns for the rest of their lives on earth. When children are younger they need to know the heroes of the Bible but when they get to this age they need to understand not just the heroes but how they became the men and women of God they way they did. How does one apply biblical principles to everyday life? By the time a person has reached this age they either are using biblical principles and concepts which will always bear fruit after its own kind or they will bear fruit of the world. One leads to life and the other to suffering and death. At this point Christian Children should have an idea of how to apply biblical principles to life.
*Christian Young Adults Literature, Ages 13-18: If children have a good foundation from the previous years then the what they have learned from the foundations of what they have learned can begin to be used in application and wisdom to answer all of life's questions regarding some of the following areas of life: Marriage; How does one find the right person? Purpose; What is Gods purpose for believers in general but more specifically how does one find their calling and gifts and learn how to use them? Career; How do we use biblical principles to make a living? What is tithing about and what are the principles of finance used in scripture? Problem Solving; Everyone runs into trouble and challenges but it is how we use biblical principles in everyday life that will determine all outcomes.
*Christian Adult Literature, Ages 16+: In the Garden of Eden there were two trees. The first was the Tree of knowledge of Good and Evil which always brings death. The second was the tree of Life! We as born again believers either choose one tree or the other to eat from and we often eat from the tree of knowledge as we are eager to learn believing that is the right direction to go when instead of building covenant relationship with each member of the body and Him we seek knowledge for person fulfillment. Then that becomes a bigger problem because instead of walking and learning to use biblical solutions and concepts in everyday life we often can quote scripture backwards and forwards not understanding how to live what scripture says, thus living by knowledge and not faith. There is a great emphasis in scripture which is put on faith even though we seem to have a multitude of books based on knowledge. What is the difference? How do we know? How do we write from a position of faith and not just knowledge? These are just some of issues covered in this study.

(Sample taken from every ODB course study introduction.)
There are five parts to learning:
1) Don't have a clue
2) Data: which is simply the ability to remember information
3) Knowledge: Which is having the data and knowing what it means. For example many can quote scripture backwards and forwards but they do not really understand what it all means.
4) Application: One step up from knowledge and this is where we begin to have some practical experience not only on what scripture says, but begin to learn how to apply it. One ingredient still missing which is experience and how it all works and comes together.
5) Wisdom: which is having the information, knowing how to use it, being able to apply it in our own lives which will bring wisdom so we can help others.
What is this about? You might be asking yourself and it is a fair question. What it is all about is relationships and partnerships with Jesus and the body. It is in forming these relationships with each other and Him as the focal point that allows us to do or accomplish what we have been called to do. How are relationships formed? By experience not only with each other as part of the body but with Him as well. Many can quote scripture back and forth but when asked what that really means or how to put scripture to practical use in everyday life, many believers do not really understand, however they still quote scriptures at people and because they do not understand the ones they are trying to help usually go away lost.
For lack of a better example, the body and relationships are much like a boat and it is either it is a boat that can sail through the seas rough as they may be or the boat is like the Titanic and does a nose dive. Folks we are all in this together and even scripture tells us that one part of the body cannot get ahead of the other parts of the body. We as a body on the one hand can do all things through Christ which is head and body and on the other hand we can do nothing without Him. These courses and your efforts to help people is very much like taking a journey together. How it works is that when you meet someone in need and try to help you are either on your own or you take the body with you. If you think about it you have a much better chance of helping others if you take the body with you. It is true for all of us.
In this journey together we are going to be setting some learning and teaching goals. The reason I say learning and teaching as you are learning this minute but as you go along in your ministry you will be teaching those in need to set goals as you will be doing, using key concepts and principles and then analyzing whether it is working or not and making adjustments along the way. What does that mean in real terms? Basically learning to stand on His word both written in scripture logos, and His spoken word to you, rhema. When we learn how to stand on what He has given us we become the light for others to see, so they can see the path. However if we never stand one what we have been given or stand on what we understand and try to tell others to they will see us a phony and instead of leading someone closer to God we actually end up pushing them away.
What you will find in the studies is His word and if you are open to His voice He will be speaking to you. the next step is to put these concepts that He has given to us, His bride, Hid body that we will be able to walk in His light and power and be able to help others as we do some self examination along the way. It is at that point you will be able to use the information not just in data or knowledge but in application to everyday life with wisdom. The point in helping others is not to quote scripture at them but share with them the wisdom you have gained as you have walked in the light yourself.
What I will need you to do so we can help you along the way is to tell me when or if you do not get it! I promise you that no one will make fun of you. We all have to go through this so we know down deep inside the truth. This is really an new beginning for many of you and a different way to look at things. Some may be wondering if we all have to go through everything that there is to go through? The answer is no if we are connected to the body as others in the body have experienced things that you have not, however it is in your relationship with others in the body that will help you become established in your ministry as you can draw from their experiences as well as your own. This is what makes teaching and more importantly learning fun and I encourage you to share the experience with others. You will be blessed.

We are responsible…..
When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help,
We want our hand always to be there. For that we are responsible. We are responsible both to God and each other.
"Together we can make a change, we can make a difference!"
"
God gave us His Son, Spirit, Love, Direction, Purpose, Gifts, and free will. He gave us all the basic tools to either care for Him and others or care just for ourselves.
It is a choice either way, to either learn to work together to solve problems, but at the end, when it is all said and done, our true hearts will be exposed. We are given two things to do, love God and love our neighbor as ourselves.
