Many have tried in the past to define ministry. Ministry is two-fold. Service to God and service to people, which includes taking care of the whole person in body, soul and Spirit. This balance in caring for people comes from the five fold gift ministry. Without His ministry to us the body becomes unbalanced and the needs of the people are not taken care of. Ministries instead of caring for the needs of people become self serving caring more about teaching and preaching and building buildings instead of everyone having food or a place to sleep. 

For the body to work effectively it takes all of the body working together to care for the needs of all. Each person in the body has been called by God to serve and reach all and to care for the needs of all. Today unfortunately in most groups or churches it is about 7% of the congregation that does the majority of the work. What is needed is to get the other 93% motivated to doing something and most importantly working together as one body. It takes everyone focusing and putting God first in their lives as we have come to the conclusion there is no hope without Him and understanding that we also need each other to make it through life. 

Social Security, workman's compensation, insurance and jobs have taken the place of what the body is to help each other with. The body and its role has become less important or so people would believe as the enemy helps teach the body that it is not needed. It is by the enemies design to divide and destroy the body. The first step to combating the enemy is to understand the enemies ways so we can come against it. The second step is to work together to solve the problems of the communities in which we live. Prayer and prayer in agreement is needed not just in a local church but the whole body. The stronger the body the less social problems there will be in any given community. The stronger the body the less problems with crime and drugs there will be because to help others it takes faith and unity. Faith is like a muscle. The more it is used and exercised the more faith will increase and it will be stronger each time around and the stronger the body becomes to deal with problems and obstacles.

To build anything in life all starts with accepting the responsibility to do so. If we do not accept the responsibility of anything then we will not really seek God on how to fix it, because it is someone else's responsibility. Responsibility and dealing with responsibility becomes a foundation to build relationships with. If we are not willing to build relationships with people then more than likely we are not doing to well with God either. The more responsibility we are willing to accept, the more God will empower the body to deal with it all if it is to His glory. If it is not to His glory then we are on our own. 

Walking with God is also about walking with each other not only in the body, but being an example to God's ways. What we do to each other, we also do to Him directly, good or bad. If we care for each other we also are showing Him we care for Him. If we keep His Words and Commandments we will be caring for Him and His ways and all those around us. If we all work as one body no one will fall between the cracks and all can be reached globally, which is His plan. We, any of us either accept His plan and work together to accomplish His will or we are doing our own thing. By the way doing our own thing is not salvation. Salvation is being willing to no longer do our own thing but only do His things and His way. 

Today there are some 20,000 Christian religions or denominations. Simply put ODB is about empowering believers to do what they are called to do. Secondly, ODB not only empowers them by the hand of God but then works to equip believers to do what they are called to do, both in training and walking with believers. If you have a problem so do we and likewise if we have a problem so do you. It is by His design that ODB is set up this way because there is only one body and if one part of the body does have a problem or need then all parts have the need even if the need is just for the one part. In scripture the stronger parts are to minister to, and walk with the weaker parts. 

We have two types of ministers. The first are licensed ministers, which deals with the legal aspects of ministry. A licensed minister is a part of ODB. For you as a licensed minister it should be a time of building relationship with ODB and ODB with you. It is learning to work with each other as a partner in His plan for both of us in many aspects. To stand with you, be in agreement, walk with you, pray for you and those you lead, edify you and help you grow so you can pass that to others that God sends you. Your part is to be willing to walk, work with us, pray with and for us and other ministers. Tithing is important. We do not tell you what to tithe, but it is all part of God's ways for His people to be blessed. We are an example to you. You are an example for others around you. If we are not a good example then probably you will not be a good example and then others that follow you or come you will never be a good example to reach out to others. As a licensed minister of ODB, you are to represent His ways, covenants, statutes, commandments, will and power to those around you, interceding for all He sends you, not on your own, but with us as well so we can help seek God's will for you and those He sends you.

After licensing the next step is ordination.  Ordination here is taken very seriously. It is about conferring on you the anointing that God has given ODB. From your stand point that either means something or not. ODB is His ministry on earth and if you are not sure of that you should seek Him. He will not deny Himself or His ministry. Ordination is about receiving the power of God to do what you have been called to do according to His plan for you in ODB. You knowing His plan , how it comes together in unity,  only God can show you that. It comes by seeking Him as you are in training  as a licensed minister of ODB. It is why there is so much focus on your ministry plan as it is God's plan for you, which involves His anointing and commissioning  in you. It  is  in  part a Spiritual Covering, which involves the work of the Five-Fold Gift Ministry and His will to leave no stone unturned on earth. As a minister of ODB you are a part of His plan globally to reach all.

You should, as a part of ODB understand what Global Missions Initiative  is about, not because we tell you, but because He shows you. As He shows you, He will empower you to do your part in His plan to reach all. Scripture tells us that to be a son of God, you and all those you lead are to be lead by the Spirit of God. It is not just hearing from God, but being led by Him. Also if it is from God it will build unity and love in the body, for the body to work as one. Not a bunch of little bodies where there is separatism and division. Unity is about standing with God and each other in love so His will can be done on earth as it is in heaven, which is our only hope. His ministry is to reach all, and to look to Him in all things and do His will and work as one body.

In addition, there is one further step which is a charter from ODB as a church, counseling center, mission or a school. ODB also offers a charter for volunteers for outreach in local communities who belong to other churches or schools. This is a special group, usually consisting of volunteers, for special groups and clubs that work within an existing church or school. It all comes down to a Spiritual covering and being in line with His will for our safety and growth. The first part of that covering is being able to articulate the plan or vision He has given you to us. As a part of ODB you receive the anointing or covering He has given ODB in reaching all on earth. For us to work outside of His plan or covering causes spiritual problems, to work inside of His plan and covering brings His blessing. What we literally do is ask God's hand be upon you according to the vision or plan He has given you. It works, because He works and Scripture works as long as all of us work according to His Words, covenants and commandments. Nothing else will work. It takes experience and wisdom to understand this.

The important part is that you and all those that God leads to ODB, are always led by the Spirit of God for those are the sons of God. Part of what ODB offers in walking together is mentorship. We do walk with you each step of the way, but your part is that you need to know that God led you to ODB so you will take the counsel offered. In His spiritual covering, which of course only works when people walk together and know that you are led by His Spirit to ODB, so you are in His will. There are two paths that any of us can go by. The first is to be led by the Spirit which will produce growth and maturity. It is not just for us but those we lead. In any educational setting the students need to learn how to be led by His Spirit so they can grow in Him. The other option for any of us is to be led by the flesh and that will produce another type of fruit. That fruit will always be doubt, confusion, separatism, division and eventually destruction, for a house divided against itself will fall. People should be students with you or believers with us because this is where God wants them. Other than that it turns into religion and sending people in the wrong direction and the only thing that will happen is that people's ears will be tickled.

A Spiritual covering is about the hand of God on you in and for the direction or purpose you have been called to. ODB is about people witnessing further the hand of God on their lives. It is true for you and all those that you will lead or influence in the future. Each one you minister to or teach for salvation need to know that they are being led by the Spirit of God.

It starts with the vision or whatever you have been called to do. His plan for you, walking together to build a closer relationship with Him and each other and providing you with God's tools, which in part is His anointing or Spiritual covering. Amos 3:3 tells us that people can only walk together unless they be agreed. We have found that agreement can only be through His Spirit. This next part is really important. From there the power of God to enable you to do what you are called to do is by all (the body) to be in agreement and touch anything it will be done.

We do respect that is was God that led you to ODB in His purpose to run the race that has been set before you. We also understand that in His way and covenant the way for you to run that race and to accomplish what He has given you is with His blessing, to work as one body in His covenants and commandments. Parts of the body are dependent on each other to help take us to where God wants us to be. We are dependant on Him and each other so we can run the race. We all need others to walk with us in His will in order to accomplish His will on earth as it is in heaven. This is done in part through an anointing He has given you as a member of the body, but there is also a corporate anointing of the body that also needs to go with you so to help you accomplish your purpose. Part of His provision to you was the five-fold gift ministry so there would be balance. His covenant provision comes with you walking not just as an individual, but you walking with the rest of the body and the rest of the body with you in agreement in His plan for you.

First Step: Assessment

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teachings and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer… Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”                                      Acts 2:42-47

Many that go into ministry today fail because they do not stop to assess the need of what they are called to serve or how to reach who they are called to serve. It all does start with a vision and from a vision a mission statement can be created depending on how much responsibility you are will to take on. Assessment is important if we are to take care of the needs of people in body, soul and Spirit. Obviously if you live in an area for example where everyone is starving to death and everyone lives on the street then talking to them just about the love of Jesus, although that may help does not fully solve the problem and more help is needed and that will come from Him through the body. This of course may be an extreme example but it does fit many places today.

What are you led to? Who are the people? What are the needs of the people if we are to care for them in their body, soul and spirit? 

To start with we have either been called to a geographic or demographic area. A town or city would be considered a geographic area, where a hospital or clinic or other type of business or outreach would be considered a demographic area of outreach. The point is whatever the vision is write it down and commit it to God. Secondly take responsibility for reaching everyone in that area. If possible walk the area off and claim each square foot for Him and be committed to building the kingdom of God in that area representing His ways and will to all in that area as a servant of God. Scripture tells us that we have been grafted in as Jews and everywhere we step we are to claim that ground for Him and set it aside a Holy ground. This is important if it is our ground then we are responsible if it is His territory and we are looking for His help to maintain His territory it is something very different and will yield two different types of fruit. His people are to claim the ground for Him, that is the true Israel. 

Secondly in that area that you are called to reach assess who is there. How many people? How many churches? What are the denominations? If you know the denominations you will know their beliefs. Then part of the assessment is the people in their needs. For example what is the crime rate. Is there a problem with drug addictions or alcohol or other problems. Do you have people that live there that have been in prison or just have been released. All this information goes into your ministry plan and when it is finished we will be standing with you at the throne of Grace and asking Him to bless this plan as it is His plan and or make corrections to that plan on earth for that area. 

Here is an example of ODB's ministry plan for the US. The Need: Problem and Solution!  This is just an example. In addition, because part of the vision for ODB is global we also have Global Missions Initiative , which breaks down into detail 269 areas on the earth with a brief outline of the people, the needs, what they believe, financial outlook, etc. This of course is all very detailed, but everyone fits in somewhere in the plan. The plan simply is for the body to work together in love and unity to seek God for each other and each others calling and purpose. It works!

Part of the assessment is to get to know the people that you are called to serve, which does include their needs. To start with what are their physical needs. Do they need prayer and or deliverance? If so, prayer requests can be listed here. It would be advisable for you to pray for others as well. The more you pray for others, the more others will pray for you and the needs of those you intercede for.

These forms we do use currently in counseling and understanding peoples needs and to help create an action plan for people. Keep in mind that these forms were used in Pastoral Counseling. We define Pastoral Counseling as Intercession for others. Often times when counseling is needed other needs also arise.

The real point of all of this is to assess the needs, take responsibility to help those in need and be resolved to working with the rest of the body to have those needs taken care of. Christ, the body is your biggest and best resource. 

Second Step: Understanding and with understanding, Wisdom

There are five parts to learning and wisdom:

1) Don't have a clue

2) Data: which is simply the ability to remember information

3) Knowledge: Which is having the data and knowing what it means. For example many can quote scripture backwards and forwards but they do not really understand what it all means.

4) Application: One step up from knowledge and this is where we begin to have some practical experience not only on what scripture says, but begin to learn how to apply it. One ingredient still missing which is experience and how it all works and comes together.

5) Wisdom: which is having the information, knowing how to use it, being able to apply it in our own lives which will bring wisdom so we can help others.

The basic needs for a ministry to work are the following:

1) Faith. Faith comes by hearing and hearing comes from the Word, not only the written Word but more importantly the living Word. Faith is you standing in faith, but also the whole body standing with you. You stand with God and others including ODB and you will find others will stand with you.

2) A basic understanding of the Word and Christ and what the body is to do here on earth. We either eat from the tree of life or the tree of knowledge of good and evil. It is a choice. Those that walk with Him daily and are led by His Spirit are eating from the tree of life. What do we preach and teach. This is an important issue. Did Jesus come to start a new religion or did He come to die so all could be grafted in to be Gods people, Jews. One direction will lead to division and separation and the other will bring unity. Ministries need unity, where no one is over others so people do not wander from one ministry to the next looking for a better anointing or better teaching. Wandering is being lost. Truth is truth and prayerfully they will hear the truth through you as an ODB minister. As an ODB minister you are to represent God's ways and not religion and they need to seek God to know they are being led by Him and not man so they will not wander. Sons are led by the Spirit of God. You are in place to make sure all are being led by the Spirit of God.

3) For the body to work as one body in forgiveness, love and unity. In unity is where the power of God can be found. Amos 3:3 It is about walking together and being in agreement or unity so we can walk together but that can only be done by His Spirit. The promise is that when His people agree, ask and touch any thing it will be done. The answer is not over here or over there or with another ministry. The answer is either in each of us or not. If not, it is because we are not following God's ways in faith. 

4) Prayer. My house is a house of prayer and prayer in agreement. Not just where you are locally but with the whole body will you see things come together. In ODB other ministers are praying for you and you need to pray for others to be blessed.

5) The body being broken so we will give up our ways of doing things and only desire to do things His way. The more broken the more we move in love and the more a servant we are not being over, but leading by example. There were twelve loaves of bread in the Tabernacle. Each loaf represented each of the tribes. In the NT we have one loaf which represents the body of Christ. There is only one gate and that is Jesus where all must pass through. As His ministers we are to represent just one loaf of bread, which is the body of Christ, not only connected to Him, but each other as we are dependent on Him and each other. There are not multiple loaves of bread and denominations teach there are different loaves of bread or perhaps different kinds of bread. As His ministers we lead to one loaf and stability or we lead to our own brand of loaf, which will always cause more confusion and division. It takes being broken in order to work with each other so God's will can be accomplished. We are to preach Christ crucified which is head and body crucified. If we teach anything less we are in error and become the problem.  If we do not surrender our lives fully to Him then we are not dead in Him. How we all become crucified with Christ is to give up our will and only have the will of the Father as Jesus did. To be broken we need to be willing to be broken and as ministers we either teach and preach the necessity of being broken or we suggest it is alright to do our own "thing" in life. 

6) Understand and stand on the Covenants, Commandments and His Statutes. Each should understand the covenants and commandments so there is foundation of why we have been given a better covenant. In the OT they could not be sons of God, but only followers. In the NT we all can become sons of God, even to those that believe on His name, but we all need to learn how to be led by His Spirit and eat from the Tree of Life instead of eating from the Tree of Knowledge, which allows us to make our own decisions in life. 

7) Effective Praise and Worship: Praise and worship is important before we make our requests and after we make our requests, standing in agreement and touching anything in faith it will be done. 

8) Training. Which also includes a safe place to practice their gifts. The body needs to come to maturity to really understand the true needs of people and for the body to really serve and help people.

9) Tithing and an understanding that what we give we receive. Tithing is an interesting issue today in the church. The following is not a request for money, but you need to understand that if God lead you here, then you tithing to ODB is part of His way for you to be blessed. You will find that in doing things His ways the gates of heaven will be poured out on you. You need finances from God and He does have a way of providing if you are willing to do things His ways in tithing. Even Abraham tithed.

10) A vision and ministry plan given by God so we as leaders can follow it and all those we lead can follow it. It is also a tool for real accountability to see how far off the mark we are or how close we are to the mark. Part of that plan though, should to work as one body and with the whole body if it is a plan for you from God. None of God's plans include division or separatism or some being over others. The closer we are to Him, the more responsibility we have, the more accountable we become for what happens around us and the more of a servant we become. Scripture tells us clearly that we are destroyed for lack of vision and knowledge. If there is little vision there will be little plan or motivation to accomplish anything. 

11) The five fold gift ministry in place to provide balance, growth, direction and the power of God. The power of God is for balance and not for individuals. The reason the power of God and the anointing is listed last on the list is that it also comes with a big warning. With the anointing and the power of God there is far more accountability and responsibility for what happens all around us. God as we know is a fair judge. If we have been given more of His Spirit and the anointing the more responsibility we have been given. Crying out or asking for more anointing although sounds like a good idea, but actually it is something to be sought very carefully and very, very soberly. The more anointing the more pitfalls and the more He expects of us and those we lead or influence. Be careful! He gives freely and it is a good thing to want to be close to God and have His anointing, but also understand the anointing is to be used for ministry to help the person do what they have been called to do. It is not really for themselves. Often it is taken that way. 

Some ministers in the past have asked for more blessing and more favor, but have not realized or do not want to realize that with that comes far more accountability for it all. Scripture tells us that we all will be held accountable for every idle word let. All of us. No matter how much anointing we have. How much more accountability and responsibility will there be with more anointing? Who knows, but it is something like playing with fire. It all goes back to the parable of the talents, which could be argued that talents are the gifts we have been given, but also includes the anointing we have been given. The other trap that many fall into is that when filled with the Spirit of God often people do less unless God tells them to do something and the more likely believers are willing to listen to others, even those put in authority. Many have asked for God's favor or financial blessing not understanding it was not about them receiving things for themselves or their families (i.e. bigger houses, nicer cars, bigger pay checks, bigger church buildings and all the trappings that go with it, etc.), but so they would give to others. What we do to others good or bad we do to Him. It is a lesson for ourselves and a lesson for those we lead as we as leaders of the church are responsible for all we influence. We all are an example, good or bad. 

Our prayer simply is that everyone reaches the wisdom understanding and being able to walk in His plan in every believers life. It is truly the only way that problems can be solved on earth to accomplish His will and even give us a possibility for some hope here and the here after with God. Through Jesus we all have been given the tools, but much like the carpenter building a house if he or she does not know how to use a hammer and just uses their hands, it not only takes forever, but also becomes a painful process. The facts are we have been called, all of us to build the temple. The temple today is the body. It takes several things to build each believer and if not done the right way there is imbalance and division as it is easy to get off track.

Top The purpose of ODB is to lead all believers so they know that they are being led by His Spirit and if they are doing so they will quickly learn that we are not only very dependant on God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, but also each other in the body to even get through life.  We are also according to His plan and provision also dependant on His way of doing things. Part of His provision for us is His covenants if we are willing to keep His commandments. We any of us either have blessings or curses depending. The other thing that we all need is balance and accountability in the body. For this He gave us the Five Fold Gift Ministry, which is designed by God to take us closer to Him and for each of us closer to His purpose here on earth. Beware, ODB is not about religion or religious concepts it is about His ways and His covenants with the body and all walking together. If you do not witness the very hand of God in all of this then it all is a waste of your time and effort. He is the great physician and healer and only He can fix any of what is happening in the world through His people as we are called and chosen by God as co-workers, but only if we are willing to do it His way, will anything work.

That is in part the point doing things His way as He is God. Doing things our own way ALWAYS will leave a mess to clean up. WE  the body need to completely understand and accept that there is nothing good in any one of us except for Him. Should we all learn to accept and understand this then we will learn not expect that people of the world or in the world will do anything more than what they do. It is foolishness to expect those in the world to care more about people then God or the body. We all in order to get things to work is for all of us to get back to the basics and learn to stand on those basics and what He has given each of us to do. Things either work or they do not work because either the body is working or not. It is a difficult lesson but self examination is not an easy thing. If the leaders of the church are not willing to do it then others perhaps will not be willing to do it either. Teddy Roosevelt once said, "the buck stops here," and every leader and believer needs to understand that the buck stops here in order to have His will done on earth as it is in Heaven. If the body is not in line with Scripture or His will then it is insanity to think it will get better. Wisdom should tell us that while there may be a million ways to do things there is either God's way or our own way. If we do it His way He is then responsible for the outcome. If we do it our own way then it is all our problem. This is the point of the covenants.

I am fairly certain that what was just written was rather scary to many. It is not about us, any of us including me or ODB being in control of our lives, but Him in all things. You will find that no one here is over anyone, but all here to build and edify the body. The facts are the closer we get to God and His ways the more the servant we become and as such become sons of God and of Light to demonstrate to others His love, forgiveness and power to all around us. Our goal in all of this is Amos 3:3 which is about walking together as one body, but this can only be done in agreement and that takes His Spirit for any of us to be in agreement. In agreement is where the power of God is to deal with all problems, because His promise is that when we gather in His name He is present, when we agree to anything and touch it, it will be done.

Top The purpose of the tools and studies is so we can all understand the same things and walk together coming to an understanding of who we are in Him, our position and authority in heaven and earth to get things done. The studies can be duplicated and used by the people God sends you. Their purpose is to inform in part but also bring everyone to the point of being able to communicate with each other understanding the same things so we all can be on the same page. The studies are for understanding and communication. For example if I say fruit and you think of an apple and I am thinking of an orange then it is difficult to be in agreement. Even if we are both talking about oranges or apples there are different varieties of each and to be in agreement so we can stand together and walk together we all need to be able to identify the fruit, whether the fruit is good or bad, we all need to be able to identify it and get to the root of the fruit so we can intercede so the problem can be resolved.

Another function of the studies and tools is to take individuals or a group from where ever they are to a closer walk with Him, so the body can grow in Him and come to maturity so the body will then do what it is called to do and reach out to others in need caring for the needs of all in body, soul and Spirit. What is needed more than anything today is mentors to walk with people so they do go the right direction and that takes mature believers that have experienced life the good and the bad and have learned that God's way is the only way. Mentors need to be able to walk with each God sends them and understand the pitfalls in life and how to get around the obstacles. After all we are to be over comers and it takes experience and maturity. Those that have been forgiven much love much. They also have experienced much both good and bad, but in all of this comes the wisdom of God.

The courses are good and have good information but what is important is the final product or end result of being in the body, being able to function in it and being able to encourage and exhort others in the body to work as one body in Him. Usually it is not God's will that hold us back but our functionality or lack of it. Throughout the ODB, web site you will see references made as to the definition of Christ. We have come to understand that Christ is made of two parts working together. The first part is Jesus the head and the second part is us, the body working with Him and each other as one body to accomplish His will on earth as it is heaven. To accomplish this we preach Christ crucified, not just Jesus who died for use some 2,000 years ago that we may live, but the body dying to our own wills and desires working together in relationship covenant to accomplish His will as we die daily to self and learn to surrender to Him and His will for us. While we recognize this is process that takes time this should be our desire, to work with Him and to work with the body daily and that should be of primary importance to us everyday of our lives. If we all did that, this world would be very different. Our focus shows our heart as our focus and what we focus on, we become. Should we focus on the world and the solutions of the world we become like the world and no better. If we stay focused on Him and work with His body then we become like Him, which is our salvation. It is the same for all of us. Christ truly is the only way for things to get turned around in our lives. When our lives turn to Him it will effect all others around us and we become the light of the world and shine a path to Him.

Top What is this about? You might be asking yourself and it is a fair question. What it is all about is relationships and partnerships with Jesus and the body. It is in forming these relationships with each other and Him as the focal point that allows us to do or accomplish what we have been called to do. How are relationships formed? By experience not only with each other as part of the body but with Him as well. Many can quote scripture back and forth but when asked what that really means or how to put scripture to practical use in everyday life, many believers do not really understand, however they still quote scriptures at people and because they do not understand the ones they are trying to help usually go away lost. 

For lack of a better example, the body and relationships are much like a boat and it is either it is a boat that can sail through the seas rough as they may be or the boat is like the Titanic and does a nose dive. Folks we are all in this together and even scripture tells us that one part of the body cannot get ahead of the other parts of the body. We as a body on the one hand can do all things through Christ which is head and body and on the other hand we can do nothing without Him. These courses and your efforts to help people is very much like taking a journey together. How it works is that when you meet someone in need and try to help you are either on your own or you take the body with you. If you think about it you have a much better chance of helping others if you take the body with you. It is true for all of us. 

In this journey together we are going to be setting some learning and teaching goals. The reason I say learning and teaching as you are learning this minute but as you go along in your ministry you will be teaching those in need to set goals as you will be doing, using key concepts and principles and then analyzing whether it is working or not and making adjustments along the way. What does that mean in real terms? Basically learning to stand on His word both written in scripture logos, and His spoken word to you, rhema. When we learn how to stand on what He has given us we become the light for others to see, so they can see the path. However if we never stand one what we have been given or stand on what we understand and try to tell others to they will see us a phony and instead of leading someone closer to God we actually end up pushing them away. 

What you will find in the studies is His word and if you are open to His voice He will be speaking to you. The next step is to put these concepts that He has given to us, His bride, Hid body that we will be able to walk in His light and power and be able to help others as we do some self examination along the way. It is at that point you will be able to use the information not just in data or knowledge but in application to everyday life with wisdom. The point in helping others is not to quote scripture at them but share with them the wisdom you have gained as you have walked in the light yourself.

What we will need you to do so we can help you along the way is to tell me when or if you do not get it! I promise you that no one will make fun of you. We all have to go through this so we know down deep inside the truth. This is really an new beginning for many of you and a different way to look at things. Some may be wondering if we all have to go through everything that there is to go through? The answer is no if we are connected to the body as others in the body have experienced things that you have not, however it is in your relationship with others in the body that will help you become established in your ministry as you can draw from their experiences as well as your own. This is what makes teaching and more importantly learning fun and I encourage you to share the experience with others. You will be blessed.

It is about Amos 3:3 walking together and being in agreement, because simply put that is where the power of God is. We expect you as ministers to have problems that you do not know how to deal with. Not because we want you to have problems, but we know that you on your own can not be all things to all people and have answers for all things. Your job as a leader of a church or community is to reach out to all in the community to leave no stone unturned and you simply will not have the answers for all things. However as a minister you can assess the needs of those around you and you can communicate those needs with the rest of the body here so we can help you, help you seek God for His will and be in agreement with you and touch that given problem, so God can deal with it. It is about the body seeking God's will together and praying for each other and walking together. That is what is needed globally. WE want to be and you as ministers of ODB need to be an active part of the solution, in walking together and locking arms with each other, praying and seeking God's will together and touching anything together, it will be done. That is what this is all about. Showing all around us God's ways of getting things done. It is standing in faith as one body to deal with what is happening in the world and taking and active part as one body to defeat the enemy in love and unity, without judging why it is the way it is or who is at fault or to blame. It is you building a prayer team where you are locally and then working with a global prayer team. 

The next thing is also equally important as it is leading those that God has sent you so they have a basic understanding of what it is about so they to can reach out to people where they work or go to school so others can witness the very hand of God and how He works. It is a body ministry. It is all about the body coming to maturity witnessing the hand of God in their lives so they will no longer be tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine, which tickles the ear and makes them go from one place to another to graze as caterpillars do, but become pillars, leaders and ministers demonstrating the will of God and how things are done or should be done in the body. Each member of the church needs to be take an active role in prayer and seeking God's will just as you are expected to so they can grow in Him and witness the truth first hand. You or anyone can preach or teach all day long but how people learn is by example of what ministers do and either His ministers, priests of a royal priesthood are seeking God and His will for people or they are spending more time preaching and teaching. Each will produce a different kind of fruit. If the ministry is based on prayer and seeking God the result will be His presence and power to deal with problems with everyone moving forward together. 

If the ministry is built on just teaching and preaching ministers get the glory as they look more anointed than anyone else and the focus becomes on building buildings and selling books, instead of investing in the members of the body and their needs. Either the ministers get the glory of God gets the glory. When ministers are doing self promotion then the minister gets the glory and it is clear in scripture, God will not share His glory with anyone. God gets the glory if everyone is walking together as one body with arms locked with each other, because no one is ahead of the other and no one is left behind. When ministers get the glory then it is the minister demonstrating a teaching or even the power of God, but leaves the body behind and causes instability in the body where members of the body jump around from one place to another as they seek more anointing and more power instead of learning to use what they already have been given. It is a choice to lead one way or the other but beware we will as leaders be judged by how we lead. One way leads people to us as ministers or prophets, the other way to Him.
