Why Partner with ODB?

Our Daily Bread is the Ministry of God and we are told to pray and ask for Our Daily Bread, daily. We all need more of Jesus in our lives. It is the first step to resolving the needs of all. The second step to resolving the needs of others is to act upon what He has given us to do. The third thing that He has given us to do is to learn to work together as one body. In not working together, the body is fragmented and weak, however with Jesus as the head and we as a united body, make Christ, understanding who we are in Christ.

It is coming to an understanding that we are all in this together. Partnership is working together as one body with many parts, with Jesus to accomplish His work. It is being a co-worker together to do His will. What is his will? First, all come to Him and for Him to be at the center of all things. Secondly, reach out with the Good News letting people know that He cares and we care enough to end starvation and homelessness, giving purpose and meaning to our lives. Partnerships are not a new concept! There are some important scriptures to help us fully understand partnership and its benefits.

In 1 Samuel 30, we find David and his 600-man army chasing the Amalekites. When it actually came time to fight, however, David took 400 of his men into battle and left the other 200 behind to guard the supplies. After the battle was over and David's soldiers began dividing up the spoils taken from the enemy, David made sure every man-whether he fought on the front lines or stayed behind to watch the supplies-got an equal share.

Scripture shows that each man-no matter what his level of responsibility-shared equally in the rewards because each man was equally necessary for the victory to come to pass.

Together, we are a team, the body. Separately we cannot accomplish His work in its entirety. When we at ODB accomplish something for God, you as a Partner are accomplishing it too. Every time that we are able to reach out to someone in need or that is hurting or offering God’s plan of salvation, you as a Partner are also there and doing an equal amount of work to make sure the job is getting done. You see we are all in the same boat together. By our prayers and working together the boat will not and cannot sink. We are all equally the captains and the crew. There is no difference in God’s eyes. The only difference is, whether we were on the ship?

We desire to end hunger. By the time it takes for you to read this as many as 22 will starve to death. Yes we desire to reach them with God’s Word, but the Word has weight to it when we can reach out and feed people. Everyone we reach out to becomes our responsibility. Once fed or clothed or given shelter is our duty to reach out with His Word and most people receive it. The next part is the most difficult, it is walking with others until they are established in Christ so the can grow up in Him and become a part of the solution, by working in the body to reach out to others. It isn’t just feeding people, but feeding people until they can learn how to fish on their own through Christ.

It is a principle of multiplication. Jesus took on twelve and those called work to do the same. Over a period of time everyone can be reach and the problems can be solved permanently. Quick fixes are like Band-Aids. Band-Aids are good for a moment but the problem or the hurt is still there and will remain if we do not take care of the original hurt. Jesus does supply the healing and the power, but we supply the implementation of His will by caring for the needs of others.

It does not make a difference if you are already a minister or even if you work for a church or organization. Partnerships through Christ puts us all on an even playing field for the purpose of building the kingdom of God here and now. When we support His work and other Partnerships, you are doing the same when you support us.

Our outreaches become and are your outreaches. And our victories in Christ Jesus are your victories. You share in all that the Lord does through Our Daily Bread, Missions.

We cannot do it without Jesus and frankly, we couldn't do it without you, and heaven credits you as if you had done it yourself. In other words, we all share in the blessings.
