Chapter Application & Working Agreement

This form should be used to apply for a ODB, local chapter or group other than charter. It must be completed and sent to our office. It is intended to be printed on your computer, completed, signed and mailed to our office in Redmond.

The mission of ODB, Missions is to strengthen churches by equipping adults who are committed to God's Word to win and develop adults, children and youth to be leaders for Christ. To accomplish the goal of enabling Christians to be effective disciplers and role models of Christian people, ODB enters into this "Working Agreement" with each local church. This agreement is based on mutual acceptance of certain standards and responsibilities as outlined on the next page. ODB asks your church to make the following declaration:

We recognize that equipping people to be disciples of Jesus Christ and to be effective disciplers is a primary responsibility of the church. We therefore enter this Working Agreement with ODB Missions and will uphold our responsibilities to the best of our ability.

ODB, Missions STANDARD OF FAITH

This expression of doctrine summarizes ODB Inc.'s interpretation of Biblical teaching and serves as the guideline for the preparation of all ODB publications. As required by the ODB, Constitution, all staff and Board members subscribe to it.

1. We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and the New Testaments as verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writing, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and life.

2. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

3. We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is true God and true man.

4. We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also that spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and are sinners in thought, word and deed.

5. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood.

6. We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His present life there for us, as High Priest and Advocate.

7. We believe in the personal and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

8. We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit, and thereby become children of God.

9. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the lost.
