THE
POSITION
OSLC is seeking an individual with the experience, ability and
faith to initiate and oversee a comprehensive restoration and
recovery ministry called MOSAIC. One specific goal is to provide
hope and healing through the grace of God in Jesus Christ to
adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. The Mosaic minister
will develop and oversee other aspects of congregational care
ministry such as prayer, visitation, crisis care, and
benevolence. This is not a counseling position, although some
counseling will be involved. We hope to fill the position by
February 2001. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications
and experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a person with an advanced in theology,
psychology, nursing or related area, and several years
experience in recovery oriented ministry in a Christian context.
The ability to organize and equip lay ministry teams is
essential. It is expected that the person called will be closely
involved in the life, mission and worship of the congregation.

Kansas. TheRidgeChurch is part of the Foursquare denomination.
This is a brand, new church plant. The mother church is located
in Newton, Kansas – just north of Wichita. For more about the

TheRidge is interested in reaching the unchurched of Wichita
versus transfer growth. Although there are no paid positions at
this time (core team members must find work in Wichita before
relocating), the ministry philosophy of TheRidge is team-based.
Our desire is to move people into their God-gifted area(s) of
ministry – whether full time or in a Lay fashion. Our emphasis
is on servanthood and service rather than title and hierarchy.
The target area in west Wichita is home to middle and upper
income families. This is textbook suburbia. The music is
progressive (beyond contemporary) and the message is more
teaching than preaching, with video clips thrown in to help
motivate a MTV generation to come hear the gospel of Jesus
Christ.
