E-Learning is an innovative and very cost effective method of teaching and learning compared to conventional on campus learning. It is not for everyone. It is for those that have a certain amount of discipline and are motivated to peruse and secure their place in the future in the body. However, part of being a disciple is being a self-starter that can and will stay the course. It is what leaders are made of. You will find that ODB has two paths that students can down. The first is through certification studies, which uses in part your current experiences. The certification studies give you credit for what you already know. The studies are more or less a format to make sure we both understand the same things, so we can walk together in the future and both accomplish what God has called us to do. It is about partnership and team-work. The other side of the Bible Institute is a path of more formalized studies and offers a greater range of studies, but will also take longer to complete. Either way, you will be equipped for your part in the work of the ministry and we are flexible enough to make adjustments.

E-Learning Saves Time & Travel: Travel time is saved. Your physical presence to attend a classroom lecture is avoided. Often time’s students are stressed in going to school and working. With E-Learning you set your own schedule for the most part. E-Learning is helpful with those attempting to save money, but also those that have a family to look after.

Convenience: One can conveniently learn sitting in home at desktop conveniently reducing mental tension. The choosing of time is one’s own choice.

Energy: A lot of energy is saved because of physical roaming from home to school or college or study center.

Money: On campus studies often between the cost of tuition, fees, books, plus room and board can cost as much as $10,000 per year (US). The cost for on campus tuition costs from $65-$185 per credit. ODB understands the cost. We are supported by tithes and offerings from participating churches and by the alumni. The over all effect is that it lowers the cost so almost anyone can be a student with ODB. The most that a student with ODB will end up paying is approximately $7-$14 per credit hour.

Real Time Relevance: You will find that ODB offers studies based on your calling and purpose in the body and the studies you will be taking as a student are by design to get you there as quickly as possible. Lets face it, it is all about helping people and saving lives. The quicker you can be prepared and sent the more you will accomplish.

Back Up at ODB: We not only work to equip you for the work of the ministry, but we also help you with a lot of the back room support that you will need to get started in prayer, mentorship, counseling and even helping you raise the funds that you need to help you get started. In addition, ODB also has many of the forms and paper work that you may need, including brochures, outreach materials and resources.

Your Part: This is important. You need to seek God and make sure you are to be with ODB for several reasons. God is the one that makes it all work and each of us are to be led by His Spirit to be a son of God, according to scripture. If God leads you wherever He leads you, then you are in His hands and He will supply all of your needs. The other reason you need to know that God sent you to ODB is so you will accept counsel and guidance from ODB. If you are not sure then you may be hesitant to learn.

Five Principles of Success

1. URGENCY: We the body can no longer sit by and wait. The cost of waiting and not acting on the Word is disease, wars, increased crime, addictions, increased taxes, and starvation, all of which decrease the quality of life.

2. OWNERSHIP: II Chronicles 7:14, speaks about the believer. We need to turn back to God and humble ourselves, seeking Him, asking Him for direction and help and be willing to turn from our ways. For some time believers have thought that the problems of the world are the fault of the non-believer, but in reality they are the fault of the believer. The good news is the believer holds the solution according to scripture. Can’t fix it if we are not willing to take responsibility for the problems.

3. LEARNING BY DOING: We as the body need to understand who we are in Christ, our authority, responsibilities, and act on that authority. Next we need to seek a vision and the guidance to know His will so we as a body can work together.

4. LIFE LONG LEARNING: As we talk with Jesus, we can never afford to think that we know it all and are doing everything that we can. We need to continue to study (II Timothy 2:15).

5. MOTIVATION

FOCUS ON THE STRENGTHS. WHAT WE DWELL ON INCREASES!

Things You Can Count On:

FOCUS: It is the Holy Spirit that is the teacher if we are willing to be open and sensitive to His Spirit.

QUALITY: It is God’s message to each believer, individually and as a Church. He will lead you to the conclusion of what needs to be done. He cannot be wrong. We need to learn how to walk in the Spirit, being sensitive to the Spirit of God in each one of us, as we learn to speak to the Spirit in each believer, and not the flesh. When we learn to recognize the Spirit in us, fruit will grow, taking care of the needs of others, we will be walking in His righteousness as we will be judged according to the fruit of our spirit. You will get relevant needs based training direct from God.

RESULTS: Good seed or bad seed always produces after its own kind. His Word will never come back void. However we must be willing to set aside beliefs and seek Truth. The point of any of it is to find out who we are in Christ, our responsibility, and receive the power to accomplish our purpose.

VALUE: You will receive what God has for you. You will by using the model be able to find His will for you as an individual, as a church body, and receive His blessing.

PEACE OF MIND: By going through this you are putting God in control. it is His will and outcome. The end result is that it benefits all of us.

IT’S GUARANTEED: God and His Word are either true or not true. If it is not true nothing will change except our beliefs. God works, but the question is, so we work? If, on the other hand it is all true, then lives will be changed and you have helped reach others, setting individuals free, and doing your part to see that His will is done on earth as it is in Heaven. Jesus is alive and willing to work with all those who seek Him. We have His Word on it. In fact if you get nothing out of any of this we don’t want you to keep it. Send it back in thirty days and your money will be returned. You have nothing to loose! His power is real! It is His work, to His glory!
