"I will Remember My Covenant."

We are a covenant people, but very few know

what God has given us.

The Five Fold Gift Ministry

"I will Remember My Covenant."

God told us how to take care of the problems of the world and gave us the gifts to do it with. He never makes us use the gifts, but he did with His grace make them available to us. The other thing that he gave to us was the five-fold gift ministry. This is and was God’s approved system of government for the body. It was always intended for the body to reach out to a world in need as Christ did.

When Jesus ascended to heaven He transferred all power and authority to His Church (the body), to do the same things that He did and greater. Can you imagine a world without hunger and disease? We can have this world but it is up to us. We are told that we can do all things through Christ. If this is true what seems to be the problem?

Church Controlled by State!

This may be difficult to understand, but let’s look to the scripture to see what God left us to solve the problems.

Ephesians 4:11-16

11) And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors, and teachers.

12) For the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,

13) till we all come to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God; to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of fullness of Christ:

14) that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness by which they lie in Wait to deceive,

15) but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head, Christ,

16) from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

We all know that Christ is coining back, but we do not know when. How will He find His bride? Ready? He gave us directions to follow, with the statement that we will be given more when we do the things that we have been called upon to do.

One problem is that the church in order to get along in this world, has done what the government wanted in regards to corporate law in an effort to cooperate with the government. The governments laws are that all corporations, and churches are, must have aboard of directors to be responsible for the actions of the corporation. The first amendment to the Constitution is that the State shall never control anything of the church.

Do not misunderstand what I am saying. I am not telling people to be disobedient to the law. What I am saying, is that if expect God to work through us, then we must submit to Him and do what He has taught us to do.

Questions & Answers!

Why? In verse 12 He tells us, "for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry." The work as Christ said was to reach out to the world and give each person an alternate to death, disease, sickness, poverty and all sin. He gave us this order of things to edify the body.

How long should we do this? Verse 13, "till we all come to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ." God knows that we really are only as strong as the weakest. But when the body is operating properly, even the weakest is strong as they draw off the stronger members.

Why? Verse 14, "that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men…." He wants us to grow up! Have you ever noticed, that kids are cute, but all they do is eat, sleep and poop on themselves. How would you like to deal with that for eternity? he wants us to grow up so we will not be deceived by other doctrines.

The other reason He wants us to grow up is "from whom the whole body, joined together by what every joint supplies, according to effective working by which every part does its share...." verse 16.

Can you see picture the kids down here on earth all saying, well gee dad let us go out and play, and stay playing with no accountability? No! God wants us to do our share, and for every part and joint in the body.

Why? In verse 16, the scripture tells us that His full ministry causes growth. This is the way the body is to reach out to a hurting world, in love, unity and in the power of the Holy Spirit. There is still time, but Christ is calling His bride to come to the understanding, of who we really are in Christ and what that means. Yes, there is the fun stuff, but there is also the responsibility and the accountability of the gifts and why they were given to us. If we have no intent of solving some of the worlds problems, then why should He give us the gifts and the power?

"God gave us His Son, Spirit, Love, Direction, Purpose, Gifts, and free will. He gave us all the basic tools to either care for Him and others or care just for ourselves.

It is a choice either way, to either learn to work together to solve problems, but at the end, when it is all said and done, our true hearts will be exposed. We are given two things to do, love God and love our neighbor as ourselves.
