"I will Remember My Covenant." Proverbs 3:5-8 5) Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding 6) In all our ways acknowledge Him, And He will direct your paths 7) Do not be wise in your own eyes Fear the Lord and depart from evil. 8) It will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones. Psalm 107:20 He sent His Word and healed them, And delivered them their destruction's. Psalm 103:3 Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases. Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are Healed. Luke 11:2b—3 2b) Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.3) Give us this day our Daily Bread. Mark 1122-24 Have faith in God.23) For assuredly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, Be removed and cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will come to pass, he will have whatever he says. 24) Therefore I say unto you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. In the scriptures that have been provided it shows that both in the Old Testament and the New Testament, that we can have healing. Often I see today the needless loss of life and sickness because the people believed that healing was only up until the time of Christ. Lost somehow with the Apostles. I grew up in a church with this kind of thinking. That some how we were given salvation but were not given the rest of the blessings, thus even contradicting what they preached about the coming of the Messiah. Just to go over some brief history, the Jews in Christ time were looking for a Messiah, one that would deliver them from oppression and solve their worldly problems. This was something that was expected since the days of Moses. What they got was Jesus the Christ, (the anointed one). God in the flesh, but came as a man to show us how to live and even succeed in life. He came to show us how all men could become kings, priests and prophets. JESUS CHRIST WAS NOT CRUCIFIED JUST BECAUSE HE HEALED PEOPLE AND DID GOOD. HE GAVE HIS LIFE, SUFFERED, CRUCIFIED, AND WAS RAISED ON THE THIRD DAY, ALLOWING US BY FAITH, TO BECOME THE SONS OF GOD, HIS BRIDE, WITH THE POWER OF GOD, ORDAINED TO BE KINGS, PROPHETS AND PRIESTS. HAVING THE POWER OVER DARKNESS, SICKNESS, DISEASE AND DEATH! This of course was an unpopular view to those in power and until this day have been trying to dilute the power of the salvation message. The message is simple, when we give our life to Jesus, we are actually dead, buried and resurrected with Him. This is then a blood covenant. We become new creatures as we die and are born again. The Spirit of God dwells in us. It is at this point we have healing, if we choose to accept it. But healing like salvation is a gift, and must be accepted and received. Sin leads to sickness disease and death, it is not of God, it is from Satan. We are of God little children and have overcome him who is in the world. We can do all things through Christ. The next thing that happens is someone will say well so and was not healed, it must not have been the Will of God. Luke tells us that we are to pray that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In heaven there is no sickness sorrow and disease. If there was it wouldn’t be much better than having everlasting life on earth. It is not God’s desire for any to perish as He gave His Son Jesus, to die for all, and to suffer for all. The Holy Spirit stops working when we have it in our minds that it can’t be done or has to be done in a certain way. That is not faith. Hebrews 11:1 tells us that faith is not something that we can see or feel, but it is trusting in what the Word of God says. So if it says you are healed you are. It may not have manifested itself, but it is on the way. If you look at the work of Jesus, there were instances that people were not healed instantly, but were healed in a short time. Jesus had a gift of healing, but also of miracles. Miracles are done this minute, but healing may take time. Does this mean that we should not go to Doctors? We should go, but pay attention to what God has told us and not just what the doctor said. Mark 11:22-24 tells us how to receive in a step by step fashion. 1) Have faith in God, 2) Speak the Word, Command the sickness or Disease, 3) Don’t Doubt, 4) Believe you will receive. Read the other verses and meditate on them, this how faith grows. When we trust God to provide, our faith grows. Salvation and healing are the same package and a person that has one can have the other for receiving. Many times it is easier to go to a doctor or reach for a pill, but when we do this all the time our faith is not growing, but the Doctors bills are. Start with taking control of a headache and work from there. It works, God said it, and ordained it. "God gave us His Son, Spirit, Love, Direction, Purpose, Gifts, and free will. He gave us all the basic tools to either care for Him and others or care just for ourselves.
It is a choice either way, to either learn to work together to solve problems, but at the end, when it is all said and done, our true hearts will be exposed. We are given two things to do, love God and love our neighbor as ourselves. |
