His Ways, Covenants, Sacraments, Statutes & Commandments

The Covenants (Promises, Blessings, Agreements of God)

(Important to understand, if we want to be blessed by God then as ministers we have to teach and or preach His ways in His Sacraments, Statutes, Ordinances & Commandments. We lead by example and by what we teach or preach and are blessed or cursed by God by what we teach or preach.)

Adamic Covenant - Genesis 2:8,  (1) Created in God’s Image. Adam walked with God. (2) Marriage Covenant. (Ordained by God and not man.)

Noahic Covenant - Genesis 6:17,18 God provided safety for Noah and his family through the flood, he kept them safe.

Abrahamic Covenant - Genesis 12:1-3 God will bless you in your going out and coming in, to tithe to His storehouse as Abraham gave tithes to Melchizedek. God’s people set aside for God’s purpose to represent God to all on earth, keep God’s ways, Commandments, Statutes and Ordinances. Promised Land, flowing with milk and honey, because His people walk with God.

Salt Covenant - Numbers 18:19 Covenant relationship with each other through God, (agreement, sharing, unity, equality Amos 3:3) Bread broken & Salt.

Mosaic Covenant - Ex. 3:12, 19:5, 24:12 God provided deliverance from the enemy and taught the people to honor God. Commandments: Blessings for keeping them, curses for not. Tabernacle: Dwelling place of the Holy Spirit, Worship, Forgiveness of Sin, Rest, Focus, Direction, Provision, Unity & Power of God. Renewal of promise: Promised Land, flowing with milk and honey, because His people walk with God.

Davidic Covenant - II Samuel 7:13-16 To be a worshipper and build God's kingdom, and also be willing to intercede and pray for all as many are going through difficulties.  David was promised by God that the kingdom would be built through his house, which heaven is His throne and he earth is His footstool. If what we build isn't according to His ways, it will fall.

New Covenant – Christ Luke 1:32:  Jesus came to fulfill (uphold) all these in our lives as we surrender our lives to Him (creates Salvation) and honor the God of all the Covenants. Jesus was one with the Father and did only the will of the Father and if we are like Him we will do the same. Through His death, burial and resurrection and through our death burial and resurrection with Him, we can and will:

1)  Walk with God. That we can walk with God as Adam did before he sinned. Jesus purchased back our relationship with the Father.

2)  Use His name as we wear His name.

3)  Provide safety.

4)  Blessing or curses of Gods people as we are grafted in as his people. He will deliver us if we stay focused on Him and His will.

5)  Provide and care for us.

6)  Keep us and help us build His kingdom on earth and we can meet him anywhere, in any nation and in every place, at anytime, because of Jesus.

7)  Christ: Jesus is the head of Christ and we can be complete in Christ and be the body of Christ, being one with Him. Being the light of the world, bread of life, salt of the earth, living epistles and sonship. Tabernacle: Dwelling place of the Holy Spirit, the body.

8)  Renewal of Promise, except for all: Promised Land, flowing with milk and honey, because His people walk with God and each other in Covenant relationship. What we do to the least of these, we do to Him.

** Conditions:

1)  Giving Him our lives. Crucified with Christ. (Dieing to self, daily. Sacrifice our individuality for His.)

2)  We have to keep His Ways, Statutes and Commandments and stay in the boat.

3)  Represent His will in His absence to all.

4)  Stay focused on Him, His purpose and plan for us and put Him first in all things. Build His kingdom here on earth and not our own.

The Commandments

Exodus 20:1-19

1 ¶ And God spoke all these words, saying:
2 "I am the LORD thy God, who have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 "Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.
4 "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them; for I, the LORD thy God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate Me,
6 and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love Me and keep My commandments.
7 "Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh His name in vain.
8 "Remember the Sabbath day (Seventh day of the week, Saturday), to keep it holy. (Hebrews 4:1-13)
9 Six days shalt thou labor and do all thy work;
10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God. In it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates.
11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

12 ¶ "Honor thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
13 "Thou shalt not kill.
14 "Thou shalt not commit adultery.
15 "Thou shalt not steal.
16 "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
17 "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s house; thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbor’s."
18 ¶ And all the people saw the thunderings and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they removed and stood afar off.
19 And they said unto Moses, "Speak thou with us and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die."

Keeping His Commandments:

Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven; but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Matthew 19:17 And He said unto him, "Why callest thou Me good? There is none good but One, that is, God. But if thou wilt enter into Life, keep the commandments."

John 14:15 "If ye love Me, keep My commandments.

John 14:21 He that hath My commandments and keepeth them, he it is that loveth Me; and he that loveth Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will manifest Myself to him."

John 15:10 If ye keep My commandments, ye shall abide in My love, even as I have kept My Father’s commandments, and abide in His love.

1 Corinthians 7:19 Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but what matters is the keeping of the commandments of God.

1 John 2:3 And hereby we know that we know Him: if we keep His commandments.

1 John 2:4 He that saith, "I know Him," and keepeth not His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

1 John 3:24 And he that keepeth His commandments dwelleth in Him, and He in him. And hereby we know that He abideth in us: by the Spirit which He hath given us.

1 John 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God: when we love God and keep His commandments.

1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God: that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not grievous.

2 John 1:6 And this is love: that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

Revelations 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Revelations 22:14 Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the Tree of Life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Deuteronomy 28 (Blessings or Curses)

God’s Plan for Israel &

For His People

Covenant Agreement with God and each other in the body!

Hab 2:2-3  And the LORD answered me and said: "Write the vision and make it plain upon tablets, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak and not lie. Though it tarry, wait for it, because it will surely come; it will not tarry.

1)  Walk with God (includes hearing and being led by His Spirit).

2)  Keep God first (putting no one or nothing as more important or equally important as God).

3)  Represent God, His Will, Ways, Statutes & Commandments for Covenant Provision to all on earth.

4)  Work together to accomplish His will in love and unity and if we do we can accomplish His will, because of His Spirit in us. Abraham=1 loaf, Tabernacle=12 loaves, Christianity=20,000 loaves? God’s plan for Jesus, Christ and the body of Christ: A. One loaf. B. Work as one body. C. Accomplish His will globally. D. Submit to one another. E. Love one another. F. Care for the needs of one another, more than building, buildings. G. Communicate with one another. H. Gather the body. Those that gather will not be scattered. I. Enter His rest.

What is salvation? The Basics: Knowing God’s plan for us as individuals and us as the body and walking in it.

What is a plan? Agreement: A written Covenant, a blood Covenant, sealed by the blood of Jesus with God, and each other. It is a communication tool to tell others, informing others who we are and what we are all about and what we stand for.

Who needs a plan? Individuals and groups that desire to accomplish something.

Individuals, Ministers (everybody in the body): Are we as His people about love and caring for the needs of people or are we about just teaching and preaching?

Churches: Is a church designed around love and caring for people or just teaching and preaching? Which is more important, love and caring for people and their needs or teaching and preaching? Either will produce different kinds of fruit.

A Good Plan should Contain:

A vision: Pr 29:18  Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. A vision can be vision or dream or what God has placed on your heart to do or what is spoken to you in prophesy.

Mission Statement: Outlines purpose and goals in how to bring the vision to pass. We are here to do ……. What? To accomplish… What? Take back that which the enemy has stolen? How? Destroy the work of the devil? How? Make it better? How?

Beliefs or Articles of Faith: What we stand for. What we care about. Outlines Authority we have.

A proposed Schedule: Commitment: What do we want to see accomplished in 6 months, one year and five years and what are we going to do to accomplish it.

What it will take: Needs. Who is going to do What, When and Why!

What will it cost: Luke 14:25-35 Time, finances, God’s resources, human resources.

Why have a plan?

1) No plan, people wander and do not accomplish much. If it is God’s plan for us and we are committed to it He will help us accomplish it. If you fail to plan, then plan to fail.

2) A plan takes having faith and having the heart of God. Faith comes from hearing from God.

3) Provides Focus and purpose and keeps people on track in His promises. The promised land is walking with God in our purpose.

4) Allows for people with similar plans to walk together in agreement in the power of God. Amos 3:3

5)  Accountability: To God, Each other and to ourselves.

6)  Yard Stick: Self-examination and group examination. Are we going in the right direction? I Corinthians 11: 28 But let a man examine himself, and then let him eat of that bread and drink of that cup. We can do all things through Christ. With Him we can do all things, without Him we can do nothing.

7)  Direction: Are we going in the right direction? No plan, no direction.

10 Advantages of Doing Ministry Without a Ministry Plan

by Tony Morgan

  1. You give the loudest person the opportunity to decide what happens at your church.

  2. Sharp leaders who are accustomed to serving in organizations with clearly defined plans for future growth won’t stick around your church. That means more ministry for you!

  3. You’ll get to hone your debating skills as people argue about what to do next.

  4. More meetings! Where there's no strategy, the meetings flourish.

  5. Some people call them church splits. We like to call them church plants. More mother churches!

  6. You don’t have to worry about celebrating success, because no one even knows what success looks like. It’s just better to keep that a secret.

  7. Rather than trying to discern God’s will for your ministry, you can just rely on dumb luck.

  8. You don’t have to pray as much, because there's nothing to pray for. As an added bonus, that means you don’t have to develop as much faith either—whatever happens…happens.

  9. You can count your offerings a lot faster, because people will save their financial gifts for organizations that actually have a plan for the money they receive.

  10. Your lack of ministry strategy, which is a ministry strategy, will do just fine in Nothing, Arizona.
