How to receive funding by God through ODB: General information and Background: Top
There are two ways to receive funds from ODB; Charter & Chapter and for different purposes. (Long & Short Term)
Our Daily Bread, Missions offers the following for those seeking relationship and support;
1) A spiritual covering; We have found through experience if things are done God's way and according to His will and plan, then projects and ministries will be funded.
2) ODB offers guidance, consulting and mentorship.
3) Some fund raising programs depending on the need.
4) Through supporting churches and donations we offer both short term and long term funding as funds are available. Programs listed below explain how the programs work and the qualifications for each. Applicants will have submit an application, ministry plan and grant proposal.
5) If we do not have the funds and the applicant has filed a grant application with ODB, we seek outside funding from other organizations. The body needs to work together to supply the needs.
6) For those who qualify we also offers some free web space to help promote your ministry.
7) Prayer support for you ministry.
We are called to:
Gather the body to work as one body and walk together as one body.
To Understand and Accept Gods way's for stability, growth and provision.
Build the body of Christ and each member so they can be strong and do what they have been called to do.
Equip the Saints for the work of the ministry using the Five-Fold Gift Ministry, to reach all on earth with His way's Covenants and Commandments.
Send and support those called to gather, demonstrate His will and ways, to build the body, locally and globally for God to provide all needs through Christ, because it is the only way to deal with all needs.
General: Where we receive funding from; Top
1) Long Term Funding; The first comes from tithes and offerings from member churches, organizations, schools, individuals or counseling centers. According to scripture to receive one must give in tithes and offerings. Secondly, each member organization, in order to receive funding from ODB must know that they were sent by God to ODB. We pray for each one that God sends us and He does confirm that people are sent to ODB or not. It is important that each submits to ODB and application both for the ministry and for each project or particular need. The funds from tithes and offering are usually given to specific ministries as God has laid it on their hearts to do so. If not, then the tithes and offerings go into a general fund to help member organizations meet the needs of people in local areas with the following: food, clothing and shelter according to Mathew 25:31-46.
If ministries or ODB sponsored organizations are receiving funds from other organizations, then member organizations must disclose to ODB monthly amounts they are receiving and who they are from. We are concerned that you are funded and we will work with other organizations and churches to help meet your needs. The body needs to work as one body to resolve needs. In an effort to meet the need we will be contacting your other funding sources so we can work together to meet the need. In order to do so you will have to submit to ODB a ministry plan and application explaining the needs and what the funds are used for. Although we are concerned about meeting the needs of all, we are first concerned about meeting the needs of those in the body.
All funds are in the form of Matching Funds. In other words, for example if the monthly need of a ministry is $1,000 per month, ODB upon approval and availability of funds will give $500 of the $1,000 that is needed. Member organizations will have to seek funds from local resources including tithes and offering from the local community that they are called to serve. These funds are for on going ministry work and general monthly funding. It is important for you as a part of ODB know that you have been called by God to work as one body with ODB. As such God will supply through ODB when God supplies. It is important for you growth and maturity to not go outside of the boundaries that God has set forth.
2) Short Term or emergency Funding; The other way to receive funds is for certain approved projects or for emergency needs, which includes floods and famine relief. Once again these funds should always go to care for the needs of the body first and then secondly to others as funding permits.
Either way, it is important for applicant that desires to receive funds to declare to ODB all sources of other funding and funding sources. This is so we at ODB can work with the other sources to ensure that the applicant will receive what they need.
It should be understood that the body should take care of the needs of the body. ODB's focus and purpose is to build and edify the body. This is the general purpose of the funds. We do expect some things out of member organizations. We do expect member organizations and churches to tithe. This is important as it honors God's way of doing things. Secondly, we do expect the body to act as one body and care for the needs of others in the body. This is not a one sided relationship but a two way relationship in the body. If you need prayer for your ministry then you need to pray for others. If you need funds for your ministry even on an emergency basis you need to tithe to ODB so those funds are available in time of need.
Our goal and purpose is to bring love and unity to the body. This takes two way relationships. We are dedicated to reaching all globally and desire to work with believers and ministries that also have a heart to do so. We do believe and work with the local church and do not work against the church. We can only fund you directly if you are a church. If you are a ministry of a church you need to work with a local church for us to help you. We promote unity in the body where all in the body are equal and all should be cared for equally starting with basic needs, i.e., food, clothing, medicines and shelter. When the members of the body are cared for and there are other funds then we will give out those funds as they are available for others in need that are not in the body. If money is being received to members of the body in local areas, we as a part of this agreement want to know who is in need so we can pray and intercede for them. We also want to know why the need is there.
We do care about the needs of all people. We are a royal priesthood and as such God expects us to intercede for those in need, but we also need some basic information about who they are and why the need is there, so we can intercede for those in need.
We are willing to stand with all believers of any denomination. We do expect that if we are willing to stand with believers then they should stand and be counted with us and others in the body as well, so we all move as one body to care for the needs of all. Each member of the body should be loved and cared for individually. What we do for each other we do for Him directly. If we do not stand for each other He will not stand with us. However, the promise is that we can do all things through Christ, with Jesus as the head and we as the body are to be co-workers with Him to accomplish His will in love and unity.
Receiving Long Term Funding & Support Services from ODB: Charter Structure Top
The following are guidelines used to determine qualifications for long term funding. We are concerned about all globally. However we have learned that we need to walk in love and unity, but also equally important are His ways. We have learned that for long term growth and stability for individuals and areas that we need to follow His precepts in His covenants, because God's people are a covenant people and His people need an understanding of His ways and ODB, ministers need to have a clear understanding of His ways so we can walk together as one body without division. This takes a condition of the heart but also having some basic understanding of God's ways of blessing His people.
The following are important components for building a relationship with God, ODB, support and long term consideration of funding; Top
1) II Chronicles 7:14. Edifying the Body of Christ (the church); The problems in the world are not caused by the world but by His people not either understanding or not wanting to walk in His ways. In God's provision for the body He gave us the Five fold Gift ministry for their to be balance in the church and proper growth to edify and build the body. To receive consideration for funding one must be either a church or work with a church. ODB, cannot and will not work against the church or the body of Christ. Long term growth cannot and will not occur without the five fold gift ministry and the five fold gift ministry stands for the church. All funding is in form of Matching Funds so their is accountability. Below is the basic criteria for a church.
If you have not been granted a charter as an ODB church or are not a part of ODB church and you are working through a local church of another denomination, we need review your Articles of Faith. What we are looking for is if that church works with the Five Fold Gift Ministry.
Chapters do not qualify for long term funding. Charters do qualify for long term funding. If you are interested in receiving a church Charter from ODB. To receive a church charter from ODB you need to qualify as a church, which is located below and fill out the appropriate application. Charter Information, Application for Charter Funding is only available to churches unless in short term or emergency need. Churches must meet the following criteria to be a church:
1) a. The church (body) to be in His will should reach out to all people in the community, to care for each one in the community as He has cared for us. An outreach is not a church, but should be a part of a church and work with the church to reach out to people locally and globally. A church should provide balance for a community being resolved to destroy the work of the devil.
b. To stabilize new believers with the milk of the Word. To help them understand who they are in Christ, their position in the body and their role and calling, provide training in that calling with a safe place for them to use that calling so they can learn to walk in their calling.
c. Send and support those called to the field, until they are established wherever they are sent, because the congregation (body) does the sending as God leads as Paul and Silas were sent.
2) Although there is an element of caring for people and their needs, it is the congregation (the body) that decides or judges who gets help. Churches also need to understand that they will be held accountable to God for their decisions. The congregation pays the expenses for what is done, so they should also have input how funds are spent and who gets helped, seeking God for His will and representing His will to all people in the community they are called to serve.
3) The church should represent the will of God to the whole community and
not just the members or a group or building. All believers in the community to
be in His will need to work as one body. Believers should deny no one, for what
we do to the least of these we do directly to Him. We should seek His will for
all needs to be supplied, as we may not have all the answers.
4) The whole body is to move in unity, together seeking His will for all needs to be supplied. We believe that salvation is hearing His voice, knowing His will and doing His will, but His will will always bear the fruit of the Spirit. We believe that if we accept Christ we are accepting both head and body as the two cannot be separated and as such should love both equally. The body needs to move as one , forward, understanding and agreeing to all things because the Spirit of God does not bring confusion or disagreement. We believe that love and unity comes from surrendering our lives to Him, being broken. The more broken, the more we have surrendered, the more love and unity there will be not just in the body, but for all people.
5) The work of the body will always be in line with scripture and His will and the five fold gift ministry, apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers will be in line with each other and the body and not work independently of the body but to serve the body, not being above, but in a position of service to the body to edify. If the five fold gift ministry works in unity with each other, there will be growth. Without the five fold gift ministry working as one in love and unity, the church grows cold and apathy sets in for others and those in the body. The focus should always be on surrender, prayer, love and unity for all.
6) Ministries of the local church are to care for the needs of those in the community. To care for those that are hungry or need shelter or those that are sick or in prison. To reach out to all and treat all equally. What we do for the very least, we do to Him directly, good or bad.

Receiving Short Term Project Funding & Support Services from ODB: Chapter Structure Top
Our Daily Bread, Missions' chapter structure gives members inside an existing church, school or youth group a vehicle to demonstrate their care and concern for others. It's the programs that provide the fuel—programs that offer funding and resources for members to deliver an even greater impact in congregations and communities. Three chapter care programs are the main resources members can use to show their care and concern for others. Chapter information, Working Agreement Application
Individuals:
God our Father cares about all of His children and so all Christians should care about what the Father does. The mandate of Jesus is to care about the needs of all people, to leave no stone unturned and deny no one that comes to Him. Understanding His mission our heart is to care for the needs of all through ODB, member churches, schools, associations and affiliations. ODB, exists to equip the saints for the work of the ministry supporting the work of believers and their desire to help those they meet no matter what the need. It is to invite them in, care for their needs, stabilize them, teach them and then prepare them for serving Him. This is all done through local churches, schools and outreaches. It is Jesus the head and the body working with Him to help those in need. We do this because we were in need once and He took us in and have learned the more we sow and help others, the more we receive. It is caring about all of His children and providing for them according to Matthew 25:31-46 as we have learned it is important to Him. It is all about helping individuals and their families through congregations and schools in the local communities in which they serve. We invite all believers to work as one body as we are the light of the world and the salt of the earth.
Congregations
& Schools:
He cares about all individuals and He also cares about congregations and schools
as they are made of individuals. The Congregation and School Chapter Care
Program is made up primarily of volunteers that desire to help those in need in
the church, school or community. Our Daily Bread, Missions provides funding
through its Matching Funds Program to encourage local churches and schools to
help those in need in their local communities. Our Daily Bread, Missions is
dedicated to working with local church and school leaders to help them reach
everyone in their community so we can represent Him and His love for all. We
encourage local churches and schools to become more involved in the needs of all
in the community so we can understand what the real needs are and work as one
body to solve the needs. Once the needs are understood it is then working
together to solve the needs of individuals and communities through members to
conduct fund-raising activities (including appeals/collections) and/or hands-on
service activities to benefit a congregation, school and community. Members are
encouraged to help the congregation in its ministry to the community. Funding
comes directly from ODB to the congregational or school chapter service team's
congregation. One of the larger components is prayer and organizing prayer
partners and prayer chains in local churches and schools. Prayer is a crucial
element to not only dealing with the needs of individuals, but communities and
regions. We are all called to pray, but it is important to pray effectively.
Communities:
Many communities in many parts of the globe have similar problems from the lack
of food to the lack of clean water and even drugs. Some of these problems are
community problems based on the accumulated needs of the community such as food
and water, while other needs are based on individual needs such as reaching the
sick, social services, drugs related problems, or those in prison. Either type
of problem needs to be completely understood so we as one body can seek Him for
long term solutions. While it is true we all need Him, so preaching and teaching
are important, but we as individuals need usually further help from counseling to
social services. Some communities need short term help while others that have
limited or no local resources need and on going supply of materials such as
food, water, clothing and even shelter. Through chapter care in Communities
program, Our Daily Bread, Missions can provide funding for members participating
in community service teams. These teams are formed to assess the need of
individuals and local communities so some long term solutions can be sought if
possible. If there are no long term solutions then it is up to the
rest of us as the body is to share what we have with those that have no way to help
themselves. These short term and long term activities can benefit individuals,
families, local communities or organizations.
Regions:
Communities and Regions often share the same problem from reaching those that
have not been introduced to Him and other regional needs such as the lack of
water, food, drugs, crime and a host of other problems. Once fully in place,
local member congregations and schools in regions working with regional leaders
can co-ordinate and collate information so we can understand the needs of local
and regional areas so we can seek God for solutions. Some of the solutions are
to deal with governmental agencies to help open the supplies needed for local
consumption. Our Daily Bread, Missions is working to organize special groups and
teams that will work with local governments in an effort to minister to them and
the people they serve through our Regional chapter care program. Our Daily
Bread, Missions through local support provides funding for members of multiple
chapters to come together, through community service teams, and work with their
regional manager of ODB, community services to address significant regional
needs.
Awareness:
As a member of ODB, through Outreach Consulting Services, ODB can help your organization raise awareness and give you an online Internet presence globally to help you in your fund raising efforts by providing a cost effective but effective way to let others know who you are by providing you web space and mail service with ODB, through Christian Web Design & Hosting and Publishing Services & Information for other outreach needs for your project.
Where does the money come from to fund the programs? Top
***Please know that we pray and seek God and His will for each one that God sends to ODB in how to help those He sends. Our focus is on His will for each and for all to go in the direction God has called us all to go.
The funds come from a variety of sources including:
What we have found if we do things God's way then it is God's responsibility to supply the needs, our job as His priesthood is to:
Gather the body to work as one body and walk together as one body.
To Understand and Accept Gods way's for stability, growth and provision.
Build the body of Christ and each member so they can be strong and do what they have been called to do.
Equip the Saints for the work of the ministry using the Five-Fold Gift Ministry, to reach all on earth with His way's Covenants and Commandments.
Send and support those called to gather, demonstrate His will and ways, to build the body, locally and globally for God to provide all needs through Christ, because it is the only way to deal with all needs.
1) Donations, Tithes & Offerings: (Malachi 3:8-10)
We are a faith based organization and depend on God and the support of believers like yourself in tithes and offerings. The funds received go to help many in several countries and in local communities. Funds are used to feed people, cloth them and provide for housing. There are several types of donations. Tithes and offerings from members and individuals, member churches and outreaches. Some individuals choose to give monthly contributions or on special occasions perhaps from a tax return while others donate through their local church. Other types of donations come in form a grant from business or foundation. Some choose to even include us in their will.
2) Local Community Fund Raisers through congregations and schools:
ODB, has worked to gather many resources and methods of fund raising in local communities that can help generate funds for use in local communities. Outreach Consulting Services will help you plan a short or long term drive to help maximize potential success of your fund-raising drive.
3) Membership Participation, Dues, Fee's and Group Drives:
After the cost of operation, proceeds left over after grants to Our Daily Bread, Bible Institute go to help fund outreach activities in local communities. These funds come from dues and fees from a combination of the following: Association of Pastoral Counselors, Association of Accredited Bible Schools, Alliance of Accredited Ministers and Churches and Association of Christian Chaplains. In addition, funds also can come from efforts from Ambassadors for Christ (Global Youth Outreach) and any profits derived from Publishing Services & Information and the Christian News Herald .
4) Other funding sources and churches outside of ODB. ODB, in an effort to walk with you also will seek other organizations and churches that are designed to help. This works in two ways. The first is once you are a part of ODB, then you reach out to churches and use us as an endorsement. In this example you would send us the names of churches and organizations you have contacted for funding so we can work with them to bring and increase to your efforts to work towards the goal of what is needed, which is why there needs to be a plan in place. If you are seeking others for funding we want to work with them to help you receive funds. It is about the body gathering to work as one body to help all those in need, no matter who they are or where they are.
