About Marilyn...
For over 20 years, New Life Ministries has helped individuals and ministry leaders through the resources they provide. Marilyn Ganskow is the founder of New Life Ministries and the author of The New Life Series. Her ability to articulate her journey of faith — her tragedies and the challenges she has overcome — touch people in a deeply personal way and lead them to encounter the living reality of Jesus Christ. A widow with two grown children, Marilyn lives in Carlsbad, California. She is gifted by God for writing, teaching, evangelism, intercession, inmate prayer counseling, training healing prayer teams and encouraging others in faith and service.
Our History
Incorporated in 1980 as a non-profit corporation in the State of Illinois, The New Life Series was organized to publish the series of Bible studies Marilyn Ganskow wrote and used in churches throughout the Chicago area. Since then, the Series has grown in scope to include additional studies and leader’s training materials. Hundreds of churches have successfully used these Bible studies. They are also being used by prisoners, the homeless, abused women, rehabilitating addicts and re-entry ministries
"I have not seen finer study books. Marilyn Ganskow's books meet people in their need, introduce them to Jesus Christ, and take them to higher heights and deeper depths in Jesus. New Life studies present God's word so that anyone can understand and apply the Scriptures to their life.
S. Carey, Director of Evangelism
True Vine Missionary Church, Oakland, CA
"Marilyn
Ganskow faithfully visits jail inmates. I
frequently hear from the women that their time of prayer with her brings peace
to their souls. They can sense
Marilyn’s commitment and they tell me, 'she’s not a phony.'
In a place where hope and compassion are rare, the women say that Marilyn
brings God’s love to them and many of them receive Christ’s gifts of
salvation and healing."
Gloria Gayton, Program Manager, North County Community Services
Oceanside, CA
"Marilyn
Ganskow has responsibility for three areas in our parish:
selecting and instructing individuals to serve on healing prayer teams;
praying with individuals for inner healing, spiritual healing and physical
healing; and training ministry leaders in the parish for prayer ministry.
Marilyn is committed and experienced in prayer ministry. She spent a number of years allowing the Lord to touch her through the ministry of the church and, through that experience, has dedicated her life to exercising God’s gift of healing with others. She also brings the gifts of compassion, wisdom and down-to-earth life application."
Father Neal Moquin, Rector
St. Michael’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church
Carlsbad, CA
"From
the moment I met Marilyn Ganskow I realized there was something special about
her. Her prayers bring the freedom
and power of God that changes lives. I
have witnessed my husband’s healing of deep wounds from his past. When Marilyn
prays for me, I feel the Holy Spirit profoundly at work.
When we pray together for others, it doesn’t matter to Marilyn if the
people are living on the streets or what shape they are in.
She gives them the same love without judgment, helping them to know
Christ’s love and healing work. It
is so critical when praying to listen to God and carefully discern those
sensitive, broken areas in others that need healing.
The Lord has anointed Marilyn and equipped her with gifts that
demonstrate 'the kingdom of God is near' in an amazing way."
