ODB’s Purpose Driven Ministries!

The purpose of any ministry should be to be able to analyze specific needs and problems and offer biblical and godly solutions to those needs and problems. The ODB, Men’s, Women and Youth Ministry is designed to build each member of the body of Christ, so each can grow to maturity. It is part of the services that are offered to ODB chartered and affiliated churches and ministries. In using the biblical principles offered in ODB Ministries it will help local churches and ministries help their members and those in local communities.

Purpose (in the body of Christ, Ministry and family life) is the focal point of the ODB Ministries, which is administered through ODB member churches, Schools and affiliated member organizations. We provide member churches and ministries with:

       Strategies for effective ministry; identifying ministry, individuals needs as parents, men, women and youth, their particular gifts and purpose in the home, at work, family and community.

       Vision, Solutions and a Spiritual Covering.

       Training that is principle-based; were wisdom level of understanding is achieved as individuals are called to walk with God and the body of Christ, being pillars of the community and not caterpillars grazing from church to church. Part of the focal point in this is to be able to “Rightly divide the Word of Truth and How individuals are called to walk and can Walk with God Daily to accomplish His Will and be In Covenant Relationship with God and those men have been called to lead.”

       Coaching is necessary for all. It provides strength, growth and accountability, which are all the backbone of a healthy church. If a church does not have a strong Ministry outreach program for Men, Women and Youth it will never be healthy and do what it is called by God to do in local communities.

       Networking in prayer, walking together, sharing needs and concerns with other churches and communities.

       Resources that have proven to be biblical and effective in ministering to men. 

       The ODB network supplies much needed prayer support, advisory support, financial leadership, and representation needed to implement effective local church ministries.

Why Minister to Men, Women & Youth?

George Barna discovered some interesting statistics as he studied churches:

• When a child leads the way in commitment to a church, 3 1/2 % of families follow.

• When a woman/mom leads the way in commitment to a church, 17% of families follow.

• But, when a man/dad leads the way in commitment to a church, 93% of families follow!

He also uncovered a startling trend:

• 42% of American men attended church regularly in 1992.

• But by 1997, only 28% of American men were attending church regularly.

In spite of the Christian movement of the 1990s and in particular men’s movements, churches have struggled to attract and keep families, men, women and youth.  This in part is due to many not seeing the point of it all as they are not able to use the information they learn in other ministries and how to apply principles to real life needs and situations. What they do see is a strong desire to build church buildings to attract people instead of serving people. This has contributed to the plateau and decline of the churches across America and in many parts of the globe.

ODB’s ministries are different in that each focus on each believer and their individual calling, purpose and gifts to help them in that calling. In walking in what we have been called to do and walking with each other there is a distinct blessing.  In doing this, faith grows and families are affected in the positive and families are more focused on God’s will.

Men are ordained by God to lead, however it is a condition of the heart to do so. Our beliefs are controlled by a condition of the heart. If the heart is free and walks with God it is free to serve and walk with God and be a much needed light in the church, home and at work. When men have a healthy relationship with God, families are more than likely have a healthy relationship with God and others in the body the church will have a healthy outlook on reaching out to the community in which they are called to serve.

 Mission & Structure

The mission of Ministries is to assist local member churches and local member ministries to reach out to local communities to help those in need and share with them the Good News. Part of that Good News is that we are not to be victims but overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the words of our testimony. The Good News in part is that the body of Christ has been given all power and authority in heaven and earth to deal with all problems and needs.

ODB Ministries are designed to strengthen individual’s roles and responsibilities in life, home, church and at work through discipleship and mentoring. To have a healthy church that does what it is called to do it takes having a strong and healthy Men’s Ministry, which will bring a strong Women’s Ministry and a strong Youth Ministry that prepares children for life and how to deal with problems God’s way and how each can receive God’s Covenant blessing. These Ministries working together will bring a healthy church.

Church planting happens because there is a call to reach all nations, but we either plant strong and healthy churches or weak ones as they have not been taught how to “Rightly divided the Word of Truth.” In understanding the basic principles offered in scripture and walking together as one body, all can be accomplished and all can be reached with God’s truth.

Men's Ministry is the backbone and foundation of a healthy church, church planting, women’s ministry and youth ministry.

Leadership Training

ODB has effective training for each area; Men’s Ministry, Church Planting, Women’s Ministry and Youth Ministry. In addition each offers tools to help build a healthy church that does what it is called to do in local communities. Some of the basic study deals with helping analyze local problems and working as one body to seek God for resolve to problems and needs in communities. Training is tailored to your leaders' needs.  

Leadership Training with Common Focal Points;

A) Focusing on the needs of communities and the Ministries of the Church: Practical strategies for organizing a local ministry.
B) Understanding the Power and Authority and Responsibilities of the Body of Christ.
C) Discipleship and Mentoring in the Local Church: Building a team.
D) Going from Victory to Victory instead of going from Disaster to Disaster: Developing a Effective Ministry Plan.
