  • Cognitive Restructuring: Cognitive restructuring looks at why we do the things that we do, behaviors, beliefs, and how to change them. Focus is on the origin of beliefs as to whether the originate from God or Satan. Advanced studies for counseling included drug and alcohol and crisis intervention for those seeking a degree in counseling.

  • Basic Biblical Foundations: Study looks at the Biblical foundations and doctrinal issues.

  • How to Write, Publish & Market Your Book: Step by step instruction on how to organize your thoughts, and information in the process of writing a book. Manual also show how to get your book published and different ways to market your book or work.

  • Assurances: Assurances is the study of who we are in Christ, our position, authority, and our responsibilities, to God and the world.

  • Faith: Without faith it is impossible to please God. What is faith? What is the power of faith, and what type of faith will it take to accomplish your part in the great commission.

  • Job (10): Message: Stripped down to faith, worthless comforters, suffering a discipline, Job's rashness, and God's answer. Application: Suffering comes to all, don't distort the truth, behind the scenes, crisis and growth, and too big for us.

  • Psalms (7): Message: God should be worshipped, because of who He is, and what He has made, and what He has done. Praise leads on to victory, confidence, prayer, and commitment. Prayer and promises for justice, victory, guidance, healing, protection, forgiveness, and national restoration. God will answer! Application: Troubles come to all, tell God about it, God has promised it will work out, God's opportunities, and praising God in trouble. 

  • Proverbs (7): Key themes, promises, work, use of the tongue, friendship, and wealth and poverty. Application: Don't be a fool, watch your words, take family life seriously, and work hard, paying attention to His Word (s).

  • Romans (17): Key themes include, grace, faith, acquittal (justification), togetherness, and God is King. Application: the offer is free, the power is there, and the fellowship is ours.

  • 1st Corinthians (17): Message: the scandal of a divided church, and the confusion about freedom. Application: Christians who idolize their leaders, church discipline, which has largely been forgotten in the west, the Christian is set free, and the resurrection is of the essence of Christianity.

  • 2nd Corinthians (14): Key themes include suffering, the Christian and relief work, death, and apostolic authority.

Topical Studies

  • History 1: A three-part study, of the history of the church. First part looks at from the time of the first apostles to the reformation period.

  • History 2: Part two of history looks at the reformation period, especially Luther and Wesley. (4 credits)

  • History 3: Part three looks at the holiness movement.

  • Optional : Music 1: The fundamental of music is studied. Why is Praise and Worship so important to the church? Basic guitar is used.

  • Optional : Music 2: Guitar and keyboarding skills are studied.

  • English Grammar 80: The basics of grammar are studied. This study is the foundation for writing 121 and speech 111.

  • Writing 121: Writing 121, is a college level writing course. This course helps lay a foundation on the preparation of sermon outlines.

  • Speech 111: Speech 111 teaches the student how to prepare and present lessons and sermons.
