Job Listings & Placement Services

Student Services  Top

The student services designed by the Bible Institute and School were put together to help you the student in the direction of ministry. For each of the positions that you are studying for there are positions open for you upon completion of your studies and Internship. During this time God is calling an army of believers together to go and establish His Kingdom here and now, thus destroying the works of the devil. The Missions Board will work with you in the future as you grow as a student and get closer to graduation.

Our job in student services is to offer prayer, and support as you go through the transitional process. We are here to help equip you in any way that we can for the work that you are called to do. As we work with you in placement either in the field or in an Internship, it is our purpose to help you prepare for the unexpected.

Many times students have needs, such as temporary job placement or further financing. Whatever the need, we try and help, even long distance. Do not feel that you are just a number, you are an important part of God's Kingdom and you may need help in preparation for the purpose. Some possible needs is a better connection to a church or a community, books or funding for your ministry. These things are all possible in time and prayer. This is a faith ministry and God has moved mountains. Today we do not have the answers to all questions, but by prayer in agreement, much can be accomplished. God is in the business of miracles and they happen all the time. Do not hesitate to call or write what your needs are so they can be dealt with. Our interest in you is your success in the field.

Academic Advising:  Top

This program is offered to those that need help in choosing a direction in which to go. After the direction or the gifts and calling are found, then it is our job to discern where you are and where you want to go, and how you are going to get there. This service is in part paid for with the $30 non-refundable registration fee. Then to recommend the courses that you will need to be a success in the area that God has called you in. As we work with you in your studies and your Internship helping you stay on course, and finally into placement. This office will work as a liaison in your Internship and as your advisor. Each student must have an Academic Advisor to enroll in the school. Advisor help in placement that is best suited for you. As a part of the program they will help with career development. This is an Advisory position that will help in some of the decisions that you will need to make.

Student Retention & Termination:  Top

Retention is based on two general areas: GPA and adherence to professional values and standards of behavior. Retention in the work of the student, no matter that what study, requires a student to achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0.

In order to be retained, students must also abide by accepted standards of ethical and professional practice. When information is received that the above standards may have been violated, the faculty may meet in an executive session to review information. The student will be given the opportunity to present his or her perspective concerning the situation, and the faculty will then make a decision concerning the students retention in the program. Students notified of termination have the right to appeal that termination following grievance procedures.

Student Grievance Policies & Procedures:  Top

The school encourages students to deal with directly any problems that may arise as quickly as possible. If the real issues cannot be resolved the school recommends the following:

  1. Communicate with the one that you are having the difficulties with and pray for the individual

  2. In cases involving field placement issues of Intern problems, if a resolution cannot be reached, the student should talk with a faculty liaison or advisor and then the Coordinator of the Intern Program.

  3. Finally, in all cases, if resolution does not occur, the student should talk with the director of the program.

These grievances should be done in writing with the student retaining a copy. In all ways, efforts will be taken to resolve the issues that the student may have.

Job Outlook:  Top

Employment in the mission field has been on the increase in the last years. It is estimated that this year there are 52 million chronically ill people in this country alone. Besides the need for adult foster care, hospice, counseling, child foster care, Fellowship Houses (transitional housing), healing ministries are almost endless. AIDS is a very serious problem and no solution unless we as believers and missionaries intercede for those in need. Many diseases, including cancers are on the increase, all because of a root problem sin and unbelief. Marital problems have been on the increase as there are more and more abuse cases recorded. Prisons are finally coming to the realization that they do not have any solutions, except to warehouse. This costs an average of $30,000 to keep one inmate incarcerated. Also while this is going on the family of the inmate go on the welfare roles, increasing the problem. It is estimated that there are more than 3 million people incarcerated in this country alone. As these problems increase there is a greater need for the church to get more involved in the community, in all areas, to intercede, pray and do the work, becoming the solution, not increasing the problems in the community.

Teams are needed more today that in any other time as mandated by scripture, the harvest is ripe but there are few laborers. Things are out of balance, and the only thing that is going to bring it into balance is God working in behalf of the believers doing, the Word and not hearing only.

Today there is a need for more than 100,000 workers in the mission field, just in this country. It is going to take 1 million people to reach out to 1 billion in need. People today need real answers to today's problems. They no longer need religion, they need God, and it is not religion that will bring them to God, it is you, the called and anointed, that will bring the good news of sonship. People are needed in the medical fields, social services, outreach, hospitals, hospice, day care, adult foster care, schools, prisons, business, fundraising, printing, graphics, publishing and even in sales. In fact, in every direction, there is a need for a missionary. People are tired of old religious concepts and secular humanism, needing better answers and understanding of who Jesus is, and who we are in the body, and what authority we have through Christ, and what our purpose is as individuals and as a body.

Job Planning:  Top

Graduates who quickly secure employment or funding usually have something extra to offer. For example: a person that wishes to be considered for placement by the Missions Board may have an alternative way to finance the ministry in which they are interested, in whole or in part, or they may have extra skills such as being by-lingual. Other examples may be that of experience, as how much experience the person has. This is why we offer the Intern Program, to help establish credibility and experience. The other thing that should be considered is the gifts that they can operate in, such as healing or prophetic gifts.

Many students may be hired from the Internship Program for full time missions work. All are called to do the work, in all walks of life, and many times when we have been faithful in small things, God will reward. It is important to be organized as all the experiences that you have, have been ordained by God for your benefit.

We suggest that you take courses in the areas of study that you are interested and be with people who have some of the same gifts, especially in healing. It is for growth and experience. You will become that which surrounds you!

Follow the suggested guidelines and this will help your direction and increase your being placed greatly:

  1. Stay in the Word, stay focused. Keep the vision that God has given you, no matter how things may appear.

  2. Enroll in courses that will help you in the direction that God is leading you in.

  3. Secure experience in the Internship Program. It is practical experience that will find tune what you have learned.

  4. Attend professional meetings, retreats, conferences and workshops that will enhance your abilities.

  5. Gather prayer partners as you meet people to pray and as they pray, God may and will lead them to give. Send them a monthly newsletter of what is happening in your ministry. This all helps lay a foundation.

  6. Work hard in the direction that God has called you, when you honor Him, he will honor you!

Ten Rules for resume Writing

  1. Recipient is busy. Keep it short and to the point. Use lots of white space.

  2. Inventory your skills and accomplishments. List the major accomplishments. Use the ones that apply to the area of missions that you are applying.

  3. Select the best format for you. Be flexible.

  4. State your value. Yes, you are a Spirit filled believer, but what gifts do you have and how have you used them in the past.

  5. Use action words and verbs. Do not use the word I.

  6. Eliminate unnecessary information. Do not list health and height, weight, age and marital status.

  7. Draft it. Then revise it. You may need several versions.

  8. Critique it. Ask a trusted friend if they will look at it with an open mind.

  9. Make it beautiful. No errors as this is the initial contact and they may be moved by the way you are able to write and conduct yourself by mail, then in person.

  10. Maximum length. Two pages, one page is better, with a cover letter.

Missions Preference:

We are responsible…..

When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, We want our hand always to be there. For that  we are responsible.

We are responsible both to God and each other.

"Together we can make a change, we can make a difference!"

"God gave us His Son, Spirit, Love, Direction, Purpose, Gifts, and free will. He gave us all the basic tools to either care for Him and others or care just for ourselves.

It is a choice either way, to either learn to work together to solve problems, but at the end, when it is all said and done, our true hearts will be exposed. We are given two things to do, love God and love our neighbor as ourselves.
