Purpose
To understand the needs of individuals globally.
To provide information
and resources locally and globally to believers of what is happening on earth
and what can and what should be done about it.
To gather the body to work as
one body to accomplish God's will globally.
To help each believer
understand who we are in Christ globally, their gifts, purpose.
To train and equip each person
sent.
To deny no one in need.
To accept all people as God’s children.
To institute God's plan for
man.
Long term goals and direction: To connect those in need with those that have
a desire to help. To help stabilize those in need, provide counseling, and show
people that God loves them. Help people find God’s plan and purpose for
them, and that by working together through individuals, churches, and
organizations solve local and global problems.
Turning Today’s Situation
Around
-
Daily it is estimated that
14,000 starve to death.
-
It is estimated that in America there are 1.6 million missing children.
There are countless people in America and globally left homeless and have
fallen between the cracks. This is not about America, but currently there is
not information available in all countries.
-
If it is not God's will that these
things continue to happen then. As believers we are all to strive to have
God's will done. In fact, it is our responsibility to understand His will and
then do it.
-
It is estimated that there are more than 2 million people in prison in
America costing billions annually. The recidivism rate is approximately 67%
and will continue to increase unless they are taught something different and
shown God's love.
Gangs are on the rise and gang membership has increased usually do because
they are accepted and have a sense of purpose.
-
It is estimated that in America there is a murder committed every five
minutes and there are 6 violent crimes committed every minute of every day.
-
For the most part without God, people have lost hope and see no future. Drug and alcohol use and abuse have
increased sharply over the last 30 years. It is estimated that most children
by the time they have reached the 6th grade have been exposed to
drugs.
How Did We Get Here?
-
Frustration: The need is bigger than anyone person, church or organization
can deal with.
-
It was originally assumed by many that the government can deal with the
problems however we have found sky rocketing taxes and the need continues to
rise and we have found governments or anyone cannot do anything without Him.
-
God has almost been taken out as a focal point in the public
and private sector.
-
In addition, we as the church have not worked together as organizations to help those
in need.
Available Options
-
Do nothing and assume that someone else will deal with the problems or
assume the problem will get better by itself.
-
Learn to work together as individuals, organizations, churches, communities,
and government agencies to solve problems.
-
Build each member of the body
so each can come to maturity or perfection.
-
Resource information and improve
communication between organizations and the resources available in the church
and communities.
-
Organize communication, prayer and meetings between agencies, organizations, and
churches to help those in need, charting the progress for accountability to
God and each other of
those in need.
Recommendations
-
The only thing that can be done
is to understand that the body is to first accept responsibility for what is
happening on this planet and seek God as one body in how to deal with it and
how He wants it dealt with. Learn God's way of dealing with problems.
-
Work together, pool resources, and share information about
resources and individuals being helped in a better effort to help those in
need, which will help reduce overlapping of services, bringing more help to
those in need.
-
For organizations and churches to understand the true problems and be
resolved to solving the needs of people, and not just work at the symptoms.
-
Know that there are several stages of those in need: 1) Crisis. These people need help
to get out of crisis. 2) Once out of crisis, people need to be stabilized. 3)
Once stabilized, people in need require follow up and follow through to be
retrained to become productive.
-
Know that the problems are not insurmountable or beyond hope, but also know
that it will take more people with a focus on God, that are not involved to be resolved in learning
how to help others. If we give grace, love, forgiveness, and help, we will
receive the same.
-
Encourage others to become involved. In doing so, we have a chance to
decrease crime, increase stability, and lower taxes. We have been given the
tools to overcome all problems, but we have to be resolved to using the tools.
The body of Christ and not individuals have been given all power and
authority in heaven and earth, but it takes us moving in His love and unity
to accomplish His will.
We are
responsible…..
When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help,
we want our hand always
to be there. For that I am responsible.
We are responsible both to God and each other.
We believe that Christianity is a about Advocacy!
The body working
together is the only solution!
